Special Disney Gift Cards Available During ‘Star Wars’ Weekends

Today marks the beginning of Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and in addition to the out-of-this world merchandise that’s available, guests also have a chance to purchase special Star Wars-themed Disney Gift Cards.
During each weekend of the event, one Star Wars themed gift card will be available for purchased. The first weekend (May 17) features Skywalker Mickey. Upcoming weekends include Darth Donald (May 24), Yoda Stitch (May 31), and Darth Goofy (June 7).

Updates on Star Wars Weekends Events and Appearances

Star Wars Weekends 2013 starts May 17, and we have some updated information about celebrity appearances and other special events.
During Weekend I (May 17-19), the celebrities include Ray Park (Darth Maul from Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI Return of the Jedi), and Dee Bradley Baker who provided the voice for Captain Rex in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

D-Tech Me Experience Returns for Star Wars Weekends

If you ever wanted to be a Stormtrooper, now’s your chance. During this year’s Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can once book a D-Tech Me Experience where their face is transferred onto a mini Stormtrooper figure.
Last year’s D-Tech Me introduced the Carbon Freeze Me experience, inspired by that fateful scene in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back when Han Solo is frozen in carbonite. This year guests can choose from the “cast yourself in carbonite” option or choose the new Stormtooper option.

More Details Released About Disney’s ‘Monstrous Summer’ Promotion

A few days ago, we let you know about Disney’s Monstrous Summer promotion, which will bring the Monsters University characters to the Disney Parks  with some new enhancements. Now, we have some more details to share about these new additions, including some new concept art of what to expect.

Special Limited Time Magic Day Announced for May 4 at Hollywood Studios

On May 4, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is presenting a special “May the Fourth Be With You” Limited Time Magic Event for “Star Wars Day.” This event is separate from the Star Wars Weekends, which don’t start until May 17.
During this day-long event guests will have a chance to experience special Star Wars entertainment, characters, merchandise, a dance party, and a Star Wars themed fireworks show. Get Ready for Monster-size Fun at the Walt Disney World Resort

Today the Walt Disney World Resort announced their Monstrous Summer plans that include fun for the entire family.
The Monstrous Summer celebrates the June 21 release of Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University, and in addition to the newly wrapped Monsters U monorail, guests will also experience all-new collegiate settings when the meet Mike and Sully. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios the meet and greet area on the Backlot has been transformed into the Monsters University Student Union. Introducing the Disney Gift Cards Sunglasses Series

Disney announced a new limited time series of Disney Gift Cards this week – the Sunglasses Series. What makes these cards different than other Disney Gift Cards? Well, each card’s design is unique to the theme park that is reflected in the character’s sunglasses. And, you can only get that particular card in that particular park.

Billy Dee Williams Scheduled to Appear at 2013 ‘Star Wars Weekends’
