Morimoto Asia Opening September 30 at Disney Springs

Morimoto Asia will be the newest restaurant at Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs) when it opens its doors on September 30.
The restaurant by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will feature two stories of dining space including an exhibition kitchen, lounges, dining rooms, and outdoor terraces.
The menu will feature Pan-Asian cuisine including Kung Pao Chicken, Lobster Chow Fun, Sweet and Sour Crispy Whole Fish, Peking Duck, and Moo Shu Pork. The weekend brunch menu will also include Dim Sum.

Disney Springs Name to Appear on Guide Maps, Road Signs, and More Starting this Month

If you’re headed to the Walt Disney World Resort this month you might notice a change at Downtown Disney and we’re not talking about the on-going construction.
The signs, brochures, and roadway signs around Downtown Disney will soon feature the new Disney Springs name.
The name change to Disney Springs from Downtown Disney will be phased in over the next few months according to Disney and the official renaming will happen later in the fall.

Sneak Peek of Menu Items at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Downtown Disney

As construction continues on Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Downtown Disney (soon-to-be Disney Springs), Disney is giving guests a sneak peek at the menu.
The menu at Jock Lindsey’s will feature tapas style dishes and beverages that are “inspired by Jock’s globe-trotting to all continents.”
Items include pretzels with house-made mustard and cheese fondue, Dr. Elsa’s She-Deviled Eggs topped with crab and brined with beet juice, “Good” Dates stuffed with goat cheese, Rolling Boulder Sliders, and “Squid! Why’d It Have to be Squid” calamari flatbread.

Walt Disney World Resort Announces Merchandise Events for August 2015

If you’re headed to the Walt Disney World Resort this month there are several new merchandise events planned throughout the resort.
From August 6-17 reps from Precious Moments will be meeting guests and showcasing dolls at the Marketplace Fun Finds in the Downtown Disney Marketplace. Doll designer Linda Rick will be on hand for a special appearance August 8-9.
Artist William Silver will make a special appearance August 6-9 at the Art of Disney in Epcot from 12-8 p.m. each day. William will be at the Art of Disney in Downtown Disney …

Disney Quest at Downtown Disney to Close in 2016 to Make Way for NBA Experience

The list of attractions set to close at the Walt Disney World Resort just keeps growing.
Disney has announced that DisneyQuest in Downtown Disney is closing in 2016 to make room for the NBA Experience.
The indoor virtual theme park included video games and other virtual games and has been open since 1998.
Guests could purchase separate admission to DisneyQuest or purchase the Water Parks and More option on Magic Your Way tickets that included admission to the attraction.

Walt Disney World Resort Announces July 2015 Merchandise Events

It’s hard to believe that it is already July but summer is in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort and it includes some great merchandise events this month.
From now through July 20 guests can meet with representatives from Precious Moments and see the newly-released Patriotic Collection. The reps will be at Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney each day.

Merchandise Inspired by Disney/Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’ Available at Disney Parks

Inside Out, the newest animated hit from Disney/Pixar was the number two movie at the box office for its opening weekend and fans can now find a line of movie-inspired merchandise at the Disney Parks.
The merchandise includes Tsum Tsum plush toys, home décor items, apparel, and a variety of toys and plush toys for kids of all ages. Each of the emotions from the film – Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear – are represented in the plush toys.

Walt Disney World Resort Announces Merchandise Events for June 2015

The Walt Disney World Resort is hosting a slate of exciting merchandise events this month.
June starts with a special artist showcase at the WonderGround Gallery in the Marketplace Co-Op on June 5 and 6 with artist Joey Chou. The showcase is scheduled for June 5 from 5-7 p.m. and June 6 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Joey will also be at Star Wars Weekends this weekend.

New Tenants Coming to Disney Springs Including Nationally-Known Retailers

As the transformation of Downtown Disney to Disney Springs continues Disney has recently announced a slate of high-profile tenants for the Town Center area.
A total of 13 new tenants were announced, including eight retail stores including Zara, Lilly Pulitzer, PANDORA, and Tommy Bahama.

As we near the end of the first Star Wars Weekend for this year, we hope everyone had a great time celebrating all things Star Wars at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
