According to Disney Food Blog, gourmet cupcakes are soon to be a permanent addition in Disneyland Resort!
The Cupcake Store of Mission Viejo, California, briefly sold its gourmet cupcakes from a kiosk last winter in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney, but word has been confirmed that the shop will now open a second location there in early September!
We’re not certain at this time where the shop will be located, but we are sure they’ll have many flavors to choose from, including pure chocolate, vanilla bean, red velvet, cookies and cream, and more!

The OC Register is reporting that a new food stand featuring different flavors of crepes has just opened in Disneyland Resort!
The stand — called Cafe Renee — opened on July 2nd, and is located in Downtown Disney near World of Disney and the theme parks.
According to a clerk, the Nutella (chocolate-hazelnut) crepe and funnel cake sticks are very popular, but there are several other flavors available to fit any craving.

Orlando Attractions magazine is reporting that 4th of July Events in Walt Disney World have been announced & each area of ‘the World’ is planning for a very red, white, & blue celebration. Each park, along with Downtown Disney, will feature a unique fireworks show, parade, or revamped patriotic version of their nightly entertainment. Disney’s Animal Kingdom park remains off the list, presumably not to disturb it’s animal population. Guests should note that the schedule is subject to change.

Last year LEGO tested a new technology, called the “Digital Box Kiosk,” at it’s Walt Disney World retail location. In hopes of boosting popularity of the stores and increasing revenue LEGO will soon be expanding this technology into 20 of it’s stores nationwide; including both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Downtown Disney stores.
According to Disneyology, when fans hold a LEGO package in front of the Digital Box Kiosk, they can see an animation on the screen of the completed LEGO project overlaid on the box in their hands. …

Several weeks after reports that Marvel merchandise was starting to appear on DisneyShopping.com, Marvel superheroes are making their way into the parks. Action figures & t-shirts featuring Iron Man and Super-man are appearing in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney D Street store. Disney World is touting a special event for their trendiest fans!
To celebrate the opening of Tren-D, a new shop in Downtown Disney Marketplace, Dooney & Bourke’s Ian Ray will be at a special event at the store on Friday, February 26, 2010, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Ian will be handing out a complimentary Dooney & Bourke gift to guests who purchase $150 or more of the Dooney & Bourke co-branded products.
