Downtown Disney’s Festival of the Masters, a popular outdoor art festival, has partnered with Michaels Stores to bring exciting new opportunities to guests who attend.
In addition to hands-on “Make It, Take It” craft booths and how-to presentations, which will run Friday through Sunday, Michaels design team members will be on the West Side demonstrating how to custom-frame art. They will also be offering tips on digital scrapbooking, creating photo books and helping guests make a “larger than life” masterpiece.

Sources say that the Disney Store has discontinued all CARS Ridemakerz stations in every Imagination Park-model location, with the exception of their flagship store in Times Square. Most recently, the Florida Mall store in Orlando shuttered its doors on Monday without much fanfare.

While a fixture at Downtown Disney for several years now, Disney has announced that Happy Haunting, a two day free trick-or-treating event at the Central Florida resort, has been discontinued. The event typically took place October 30 and 31, but Zoraya Suarez, a Disney World media relations manager, said that due to overcrowding the event no longer offers a good guest experience.

Irish group Na Fianna will be appearing nightly at Downtown Disney’s Raglan Road now through October 1.
The four-man group performs mostly traditional Irish music. Well known in Ireland, the band catapulted to fame after participating in the televised “All-Ireland Talent Show.” Na Fianna placed second, beating out 6,000 competitors for the position.

In preparation for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which takes place from September 30 to November 13, several Downtown Disney restaurants are planning special dinners and cooking demonstrations to coincide with the annual event.
Fulton’s Crab House will be running a cooking demonstration on October 1 at 1 p.m., teaching guests how to cook pan-seared wild Alaska king salmon.
