Exclusive Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom Card at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

If you’re planning to attend this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this holiday season you’ll want to check out the party-exclusive Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card.
The card is inspired by Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, and according to Disney’s backstory, “was whipped up by Merlin the Magician after he became enchanted with a quartet of caroling birds down in the tropics.”

New PANDORA Charms Coming to the Disney Parks this Month

If you’re a fan of the Disney PANDORA collection, you’ll want to check out these new charms that are headed to the Disney Parks later this month.
The new charms include a Mickey Mouse “travel-inspired” charm, an Enchanted Tiki Room charm, and an adorable Orange Bird charm.
Guests can find these new PANDORA charms at various merchandise locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort (and on Disney Cruise Line!) starting August 15.
But, the Tiki Room charm and the Orange Bird charm will be available starting August 10 at The Dress …

Disneyland Resort Announces Enchanted Tiki Room 50th Anniversary Event

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Enchanted Tiki Room, Disneyland Resort will be holding a special event this June. While we don’t have all of the details about this event, here’s what we know so far:
The event will be held from June 28-29, 2013 at the Disneyland Hotel Exhibit Hall. There will be special packages you can purchase to make sure you can attend the event. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room to Reopen at Magic Kingdom August 15

Disney announced a piece of news today that is sure to delight Walt Disney World veterans: the tentative opening date for the return of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Originally slated for a summer opening following a small fire in January, the show is currently expected to open August 15.
The show, a musical revue featuring audio-animatronic birds, opened in 1971 at the Magic Kingdom as “Tropical Serenade,” alternately known as “The Enchanted Tiki Birds.” However, since 1998, the classic attraction has been replaced by “The Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management,” …

Enchanted Tiki Room to Reopen at Magic Kingdom this Summer

This summer, Walt Disney World’s Enchanted Tiki Room will be getting a makeover! Sources say the show will be updated to be a “version reminiscent of the original show,” called Tropical Serenade. The park attraction was altered in 1998 to include the new name and the characters Iago from Aladdin and Zazu from The Lion King.

Disney Imagineer Collin Campbell Passes Away

On April 2, long-time art director and concept artist for Walt Disney Imagineering Collin Campbell passed away, leaving behind a long and fruitful career. In addition to his work as an Imagineer, Campbell also worked in the Disney Animation Department as a layout and background artist.
Campbell’s Disney career began in 1943, where he started as a messenger in the Traffic Department at the studio. Eventually, in 1953 Campbell began working in the layout and background departments and worked on such Disney classics as Lady and the Tramp. He was also …
