This week the Disney Parks are celebrating princesses, Cinco de Mayo, and glow ears with special Limited Time Magic events.
Starting Sunday May 5 and running through the end of the week, a Limited Time Magic Fiesta is happening at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot. Guests can meet the Three Caballeros – Panchito, Jose Carioca and el Pato Donald – and enjoy special performances including marionettes and folkloric dancing. Today the Walt Disney World Resort announced their Monstrous Summer plans that include fun for the entire family.
The Monstrous Summer celebrates the June 21 release of Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University, and in addition to the newly wrapped Monsters U monorail, guests will also experience all-new collegiate settings when the meet Mike and Sully. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios the meet and greet area on the Backlot has been transformed into the Monsters University Student Union. Disney announced a new limited time series of Disney Gift Cards this week – the Sunglasses Series. What makes these cards different than other Disney Gift Cards? Well, each card’s design is unique to the theme park that is reflected in the character’s sunglasses. And, you can only get that particular card in that particular park.

Registration for the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races opened at noon on April 9 and within hours the new Walt Disney World 10K was sold out. The 10K was one of two new events announced for the Marathon Weekend; the second new event is the Dopey Challenge where participants will run the 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon for a total of 48.6 miles.
