Is Disney Planning to Build a Cable Car System at the Walt Disney World Resort?

There’s been a rumor circulating for a short time that the Walt Disney World Resort is considering building a cable car system on property.
And, thanks to the filing of some plans by the Reedy Creek Improvement District with the South Florida Water Management District, that rumor is getting stronger.
There is no official word yet from Disney about the plans, but they show several buildings with elevated floors and one building with a V-shape – leading some people to think that these are plans for a gondola lift that links certain …

Epcot’s Egg-Stravaganza Returns on March 1

March 1 is a big day at Epcot. Not only does the 2017 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival kick off that day, but the annual Egg-Stravaganza also starts on the first day of March.
This annual event gives guests the chance to search for hidden “eggs” throughout Epcot while recording their discoveries with stickers in a themed map.
The Egg-stravaganza maps and stickers can be purchased at several locations in Epcot including Pin Central in Future World and World Traveler at the International Gateway.

Disney Gives Sneak Preview of Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Merchandise

The 2017 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival kicks off March 1 and Disney is giving guests a preview of some of the commemorative merchandise.
The artwork this year features new designs from the Disney Design Group including images of Mickey and Minnie along with pastel colors and geometric patterns with Figment.
Some of the new merchandise includes apparel, hats and ear hats, home décor, and more. Five new Disney Dooney & Bourke bags will be available including a large Weekender bag. Guests will also find a ShellieMay plush and three Figment garden …

Garden Rocks Concert Series Dining Packages Available Now

In just a few weeks the 2017 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival kicks off and guests will have a chance to enjoy the Garden Rocks concert series each Friday through Monday.

Lineup Announced for 2017 Garden Rocks Concerts at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

The lineup of performers has been announced for the Garden Rocks concert series at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.
And for the first time the concerts will be performed Friday through Monday.
Fan favorites including Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone are returning and new acts including Berlin featuring Terri Nunn.

Epcot’s Canada Pavilion Receives Two New Totem Poles

Epcot’s Canada Pavilion recently had two new totem poles installed.
The new totems were created by Tsimshian artisan David Boxley who had created a totem pole for the Trading Post in the 1990s.

Schedule of Events Announced for Pro Bowl Week at the Walt Disney World Resort

The 2017 Pro Bowl game will be played in Orlando on January 29, but the week leading up to the game is filled with activities for fans.
Some of the activities including the NFL Flag Championship, Pro Bowl Skills Showdown, access to the team practices, a football themed fan festival, and more.

Disney Gives Sneak Peek at Commemorative Merchandise for Epcot Festival of the Arts

The first Epcot International Festival of the Arts starts Friday, January 13 and Disney is giving guests a peek at the commemorative merchandise for the event.
The merchandise includes a selection of shirts featuring Figment from Journey Into Imagination.
Annual Passholders can purchase a shirt that features a small image of Figment. To purchase the shirt, guests must show their Annual Pass.
Other commemorative items include a poster with art from Herb Ryman, a tote bag, a coffee mug, and a TERVIS tumbler.

Full Menus Announced for Food Studios at Epcot Festival of the Arts

The first Epcot International Festival of the Arts starts Friday, January 13, and Disney has announced the full menus for the Food Studios.
The Festival is a celebration of visual, culinary, and performing arts and runs for six weekends through February 20.
The culinary arts will be showcased at eight Food Studios.
The Food Studios are: Cuisine Classique, Decadent Delights, E=AT², Masterpiece Kitchen, Painter’s Palate, Pop Eats!, The Artist’s Table, and El Arista Hambriento (The Hungry Artist).
