Entertainment Schedule Announced for Disney Night of Joy 2017

Night of Joy 2017 is set for September 8 and 9 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort, and Disney has announced the schedule for performers.
The lineup is:
Friday, September 8 at Champion Stadium

6 p.m. – Danny Gokey
6:50 p.m. – Natalie Grant
8:15 p.m. – Zach Williams
9:30 p.m. – tobyMac
11:45 p.m. – MercyMe

Friday September 8 at HP Field House

6:30 p.m. – Rend Collective
8:30 p.m. – Matt Maher
10:45 p.m. – Colton Dixon

Night of Joy 2017 Ticket Information Updated

A new ticket structure has been announced for the 2017 Night of Joy event at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Guests will have a chance to purchase a concert only ticket or a concert plus theme park ticket for either night, or a two-night concert ticket.
The options for this year are:

Single-night concert only ticket: $45 plus tax in advance
Two-night concert only tickets: $69 plus tax in advance
Add on a 1 day theme park ticket for $62 plus tax

Schedule of Events Announced for Pro Bowl Week at the Walt Disney World Resort

The 2017 Pro Bowl game will be played in Orlando on January 29, but the week leading up to the game is filled with activities for fans.
Some of the activities including the NFL Flag Championship, Pro Bowl Skills Showdown, access to the team practices, a football themed fan festival, and more.
The 2017 NFL Pro Bowl Experience is open to fans from Wednesday, January 25 through Thursday, January 26 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and then January 27-28 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the ESPN Wide World of …

Pro Bowl Events at Walt Disney World Resort Includes the Pro Bowl 5K Run

The Pro Bowl is coming to Orlando and the Walt Disney World Resort next week with a full slate of events including the Pro Bowl 5K Run.
Runners will race through the Epcot course and will receive the 5K finisher medal at the end.
Participants must be at least 5 years of age to run in the Pro Bowl 5K and a 15 minute mile pace is recommended.
The Pro Bowl 5K Run benefits Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida.
The race is scheduled for 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 28. Registration is now open …

Atlanta Braves Returning to ESPN Wide World of Sports for Spring Training

The Atlanta Braves are returning for spring training at the ESPN Wide World of Sport for the 20th year.
The spring training schedule features games against the Toronto Blue Jays on February 25, the Boston Red Sox on March 3, the Baltimore Orioles on March 28, and the New York Mets on March 10, 25, and 29.
Other teams on the spring training roster include the New York Yankees , Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals, Miami Marlins, and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Walt Disney World Resort Gears Up for 2017 NFL Pro Bowl

The 2017 NFL Pro Bowl is coming to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and the Walt Disney World Resort and now fans can vote for their favorite players to be part of the events.
Fans can cast their vote to select the 2017 Pro Bowl players at NFL.com/probowl/ballot from now through December 13.
Events planned for the 2017 include Pro Bowl AFC and NFC practices at the ESPN Wide World of Sports; NFL Flag Championships and Punt, Pass, and Kick National Championships; and more.

LaShawn Merritt Trained at ESPN Wide World of Sports and Returns from Rio with Two Medals

Team USA Olympic sprinter LaShawn Merritt returns to the States with two medals – a gold from the 4×400-meter relay and a bronze from the 400-meter race.
Merritt trains at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World with other sprinters and former US Olympic track coach Brooks Johnson.
After missing the 2012 London Olympic Games due to an injury, Merritt qualified for the 2016 Rio Games. In 2008 he won the gold medal for the 400-meter and 4×400-meter relay in Bejing.

The full lineup for the 2016 Night of Joy at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex has been released.
Night of Joy takes place September 9-10 and this is the first year that the event will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports.

ESPN Wide World of Sports Adding New Sports Venue for Events

The ESPN Wide World of Sports is building a new venue that is specifically designed for cheerleading and dance competitions.
This arena is the only one of its size in the country with those design specifications.
The state-of-the-art arena will be adjacent to Jostens Center and will feature a flexible design allowing it to be used for one large competition or four smaller competitions.
In addition to dance and cheerleading it can also be used for basketball and volleyball.

Several 2017 Pro Bowl Activities Planned for ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

The NFL has officially announced that the 2017 Pro Bowl is coming to Orlando and now there’s news that several activities will happen at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The Pro Bowl’s teams’ practices, an NFL Flag Football event, plus other youth football events will take place at the Complex.
The 2017 Pro Bowl announcement was attended by officials from the NFL, Disney Sports, ESPN, and Florida Citrus Sports.
There aren’t any official activities yet, but we’ll keep you updated when announcements are made.
