New Pandora Charms Arriving at Disney Parks this Fall

It’s just about time to start holiday shopping and if you’re a fan of the Disney Parks PANDORA line you’ll want to check out the new charms arriving this month.
One of the new charms is the Sparkling Mickey Portrait Head and it’s a sterling silver charm that features 37 cubic zirconia and 177 pave-set black crystals.
A Sparkling Minnie Portrait Head charm will also be available. This charm features 31 clear cubic zirconia and 19 pave-set red cubic zirconia along with 156 pave-set black crystals.

New Show ‘Mickey and the Magical Map’ to Debut at Disneyland This Summer

Last August, Disneyland’s Fantasyland saw the closing of the Princess Fantasy Faire to make way for a brand-new live entertainment offering. This week, we found out just what that new show will be, as Disney officially announced their new show “Mickey and the Magical Map.”
The new show will be taking place inside Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre, making this the first time in seven years that Fantasyland will have a theatrical production.

Disney Legend Mel Shaw Passes Away at 97

Dubbed a “Disney Legend” in 2004, visual animator, story man and development artist Mel Shaw passed away at 97.
Personally recruited by Walt Disney himself, Shaw contributed to several early classic Disney films including Fantasia, Bambi and The Wind in the Willows. His career with Disney was put on hold during the second World War, where he served as a filmmaker and cartoonist. After the war, he returned to work for Disney offering invaluable knowledge and expertise during the making of The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound, The Great Mouse Detective, The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.

Disney Animator Ken Walker Passes Away at 91

Former Disney animator and director Ken Walker, who worked on classics including Alice in Wonderland and Fantasia, passed away on August 18 at the age of 91.
Walker worked for Disney from 1940-42, and again from 1945 to 1952. Additionally, he was filmed as one of Disney’s leading animators on the “Disney Cartoons” episode of You Asked For It, available on YouTube.
In addition to his work for Disney, he also worked for Columbia Pictures and Hanna-Barbera. Additionally, he founded Funnybone Films in 1981 and remained the owner of the company for …

Celebrate Summer at The Walt Disney Family Museum

This summer, The Walt Disney Family Museum wants you to celebrate the start of summer with special screenings of the classic film Bon Voyage as well as several other events and programs.
Bon Voyage will screen at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. daily throughout the month of June except for Tuesdays, June 16, 23, and 29. Admission is $7/adults, $5/kids 17 and younger or free with museum admission.

Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival is a ‘Fantasia’ For the Senses
