New Festival of the Lion King Dining Packages Announced

Two new dining packages for the Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been announced.
The new dining packages are offered at Tiffins, the signature dining restaurant at the Animal Kingdom.
Guests can choose from two packages (Tier I and Tier II) and enjoy a three-course lunch or dinner at Tiffins and priority reserved seating at the Festival of the Lion King.
The menu for the dining packages are seasonally-inspired with appetizers including Avocado-and-Tomato Salad, Spiced Chickpea Falafel, and Charred Octopus; main dishes including Kamo Ramen, Shrimp and Grits, Surf …

‘Festival of the Lion King’ Returns to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this Summer

The Festival of the Lion King is returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this summer.
The popular live show went on hiatus in January of this year as the construction for the Avatar-inspired land started at the Animal Kingdom.
While no official date has been announced, the show should return to the Animal Kingdom in June. Daily performance will take place in the newly-built Harambe Theater which is located in the Africa section of the park.
As the biggest expansion in park history continues, there is also word of a new nighttime spectacular planned …

Dr. Jane Goodall to Host VIP Safari Weekend Fundraiser at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Jane Goodall, noted primatologist and conservationist.  And in February, Goodall returns to Disney for a very special weekend fundraising event.
Goodall will host Walt Disney World Safari VIP Weekend, which will take place February 18-21.  And while reservations for the weekend do not come cheap – price per adult is $8500, and price for a child to attend is $7500 – the event is actually a fundraiser for the Jane Goodall Institute, which “empowers people to make a difference for all living things.”  The weekend …
