Disney Channel Series ‘Dog With A Blog’ Delivers High Viewing Numbers

The Disney Channel series Dog With A Blog has hit a record series high for Tweens 9-14 during the week of November 26, 2012. Additionally, the series delivered its second highest telecast for Kids ages 6-11. Meanwhile, Good Luck Charlie continues to be a hit with fans, delivering six month highs in the Kids and Tweens demographics.
In addition to the popular series on the network, Disney Channel itself has delivered a record-breaking 77 consecutive weeks as the number one total day network for Kids and Tweens.

Disney Channel Cable TV’s #1 Network for Summer 2012

For the first time in its history, the Disney Channel ranked as the #1 cable network in total day and total viewers for summer 2012.
The network raked in 1.95 million viewers, as well as the #1 network for kids 2-11 and tweens 9-14. Additionally, Jessie and Good Luck Charlie ranked as the number one and number two television across all demographics, while Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls took the top two spots for animated shows.

Disney Channel Star Bridgit Mendler Teams with Target  to Kick Off Back-to-School Campaign

Disney Channel star Bridgit Mendler has teamed up with Target for their 2012 back-to-school campaign called Give With Target.
Target will be donating $5 million to schools and students across the country to help acquire school supplies and other school related items in the form of 100 $25,000 grants to needy schools, which will be announced sometime in August. Additionally, four schools will be selected to receive a special celebration in their honor.

Disney Channel Orders Fourth Season of ‘Good Luck Charlie’

Fans of the hit Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie received some good news this week, as Disney announced that the show will be getting a fourth season. The family-oriented show focuses on the everyday life of the Duncan family as they raise their fourth child, Charlie.

Disney Channel Star Shane Harper Visits Elementary School

Disney Channel star Shane Harper, known for his recurring role on the hit show Good Luck Charlie, stopped by Zamora Elementary School in Woodland, CA last week.
Harper dropped by the school as part of a “Science Rocks” assembly, which was designed to make science more “approachable” and appeal to kids. The assembly was put on by the Radio Disney AM 1470 Road Crew and was sponsored by PG&E. The company also donated $85,000 to help fund the program.

Bridgit Mendler Wins 2012 Role Model of the Year Award

Disney Channel star Bridgit Mendler (Good Luck Charlie) was awarded the 2012 Role Model of the Year Award from Common Sense Media, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching parents and teachers how to safely manage media and technology in children’s lives. The award was given during Common Sense Media’s 8th annual awards ceremony on April 25 in San Francisco.

Fans of the wildly popular Disney Channel  show Good Luck Charlie will be able to catch the third season of the hit show on May 6, when Disney Channel will launch back to back episodes.

New Disney Channel Series ‘Dog With a Blog’ Begins Production in June

We first brought you news of Disney Channel’s Dog With a Blog last year, and now sources say that the network has picked up the series and will begin production in June.
The new multi-camera comedy series will be told from the dog’s point of view. A family adopts a dog named Stan, hoping the pet will help the two feuding step siblings bond. The plan works when the siblings learn their new dog has extraordinary abilities – he can talk and write.

Woman Brings Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against The Walt Disney Company

Kellie Rodriguez, who attended a 2011 taping of Disney’s popular sitcom Good Luck Charlie, is suing the Walt Disney Company for the alleged sexual misconduct that took place during the taping.
According to the lawsuit, Rodriguez was subjected to lewd and inappropriate acts at the hands of crowd entertainer Ron Pearson. Rodriguez, along with two other audience members, were chosen by Pearson to participate in a contest that involved a “silly dance” to The Village People tune “YMCA.” However, Rodriguez claims the “silly dance” was anything but silly. ‘Good Luck Charlie’ Holiday Movie a Ratings Winner

Good Luck Charlie:  It’s Christmas, delivered stellar ratings last week during its premiere on the Disney Channel, making it the top live action cable film of the year among total viewers.
