Disney India and Jet Airways Unveil Disney-Themed Aircraft

Today, Disney India and Jet Airways unveiled a Disney-themed aircraft decorated with famous Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto for the culmination of their Disney Channel – Jet Set Go – campaign.
Disney Channel’s Jet Set Go Campaign generated 6 million entries from families all over India. The grand prize was awarded to 37 families who will get to enjoy an all expenses paid trip to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree Arriving at Disneyland Next Month

A new entertainment option will be coming to Disneyland park next month called Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree.
This new weekend experience will arrive at Frontierland and encompass the former Festival Arena site on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays. Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree promises to be a fun-filled experience for the whole family with music and dancing, crafts, pin trading, and photo opportunities with Disney characters decked out in the finest Western wear.

Video: Goofy Visits Disneyland in ‘The Art of Vacationing’

Fans of classic Disney animated shorts are in for a treat, as the Disneyland Resort recently released a new promotional video that pays tribute to the Disney cartoons of the past.
“The Art of Vacationing” features Goofy himself in a throwback to the classic “Art of” how-to animated cartoons, in which Goofy would demonstrate an activity in his own, not always successful, way. In this video, we watch as Goofy takes us through his day at the Disneyland Resort, in which not everything goes quite as planned.

New Goofy Attraction to Open at Tokyo Disneyland

A new attraction will be opening at Tokyo Disneyland this August, starring the loveable Goofy himself.
The new attraction, dubbed “Goofy’s Paint and Play House,” will be a ride that lasts about one or two minutes. During the ride, up to 8 guests can decorate Goofy’s house with simulated spray paint cans to decorate the walls and furniture of Goofy’s home.
The new ride is scheduled to open August 24, 2012 and we will be sure to keep you updated with any new information as it becomes available.

Four New Shirts Arriving at Disney Parks this Spring

Four new shirt designs are arriving at Disney Parks this spring, and feature outlines of iconic Disney characters Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck. The outlines of the characters are filled in with words that describe their personality, such as “clever,” “awesome,” and “The Boss” for Mickey Mouse among others.
These shirt designs are very unique, and once released, they will be available at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. What do you think of the new designs?

Celebrate Mickey Mouse’s Birthday with Disney Channel November 18

Today marks a special occasion for Disney fans everywhere – it’s Mickey Mouse’s birthday! From 11 a.m. onwards, you can celebrate the iconic character’s special day with the Disney Channel, who will be airing special episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney Junior and a one hour special episode of Road Rally Adventures. Cinderella’s Holiday Wish Stage Show Returns to Magic Kingdom November 4

Now that Halloween has ended, the Magic Kingdom is gearing up for the holiday season with the return of Cinderella’s Holiday Wish Stage Show!
This festive show brings together Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto and Cinderella to admire the holiday decorations at the park, where they begin brainstorming ideas about how to decorate Cinderella’s Castle for the holiday season. Luckily, Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother appears to lend a helping hand, bringing her idea to life by adorning the castle with a plethora of glittering lights that replicate Cinderella’s glass slippers.

Star Sighting: ‘Good Luck Charlie’ Stars Celebrate Halloween Time at Disneyland Park

Leigh-Allyn Baker and Bradley Steven Perry from Disney Channel’s hit series Good Luck Charlie stopped by Disneyland park last week for some frightfully good fun with Mickey and Goofy.
Kim, Bradley’s real-life mom, was also on hand for the festivities – this was the first time any of them had experienced Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. Sources say that, despite the Halloween-themed Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy attractions, both of them were most excited about experiencing Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

Dumbo to Adorn the Stern of Disney’s Newest Ship, Fantasy

It’s become quite a tradition within Disney Cruise Lines to immortalize a Disney characters by having them adorn the sterns of each ship in playful fashion.  So far, we’ve seen Goofy touching up the paint on the Magic, Donald working on the Wonder (with a little “help” from one of his nephews), and Sorcerer Mickey “magicking” the work done on the Dream.
So, who will serve as the Stern for the much anticipated Disney Fantasy, Disney’s fourth ship, which is due next spring?  Why, everyone’s favorite flying elephant, Dumbo!

Update on Fantasyland Expansion:  Storybook Circus

This week, details continue to emerge about the work going on behind the scenes in the Fantasyland expansion.  While Disney has shared plenty of information recently about the royally-themed details of the new areas, like Beast’s Castle and Maurice’s Cottage, as well as the new Little Mermaid-themed dark ride, less has been known about the area that will incorporate Dumbo.  But now, we’re learning more about the classic ride and its new digs.
