Grand Floridian Easter Egg Display Starts March 20

This Friday marks the start of the fourth annual Easter egg display at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
The hand-painted and hand-carved chocolate Easter eggs are created by Executive Pastry Chef Erich Herbitschek and his team in the Grand Floridian’s bakery. They started work on this year’s eggs back in January.
The Easter eggs are 16 to 20 inches tall and are created with modeling chocolate, fondant, sculpted sugar, and royal icing. They are painted with tinted cocoa butter and are completely edible.
Each egg takes 18-20 hours to create.

Special Add-Ons Available for Citricos Breakfast and Brunch with the Disney Princesses

We recently reported that while Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom is closed for refurbishment in early 2015 guests could still dine with royalty at Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian.
Cinderella’s Dining at Citricos – Breakfast and  Brunch with the Disney Princesses is available for reservations from January 8 through March 3.
Guests will be welcomed by Cinderella and then have a chance to meet other Disney Princesses during the meal.
Disney recently announced that guests can also purchase “add-ons” for their little princesses who are dining at Citricos.

Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company Introduces Disney-Inspired Flavors

If you have ever wished your cup of morning coffee came from your favorite Disney Resort, Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company has a solution.
The Tampa, Florida based company has introduced nine new coffees as the Disney Parks and Resorts Specialty Coffee Collection.
This collection is a collaboration between Joffrey’s head roastmaster and some of Disney’s top chefs.

Six Walt Disney World Resort Hotels Named to Best in Orlando List

Six Walt Disney World Resort hotels were recently named some of the best hotels in the Orlando and Walt Disney World Resort area by U.S. News and World Report.
The six hotels and their rankings are: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (#7), Disney’s BoardWalk Inn (#8), Disney’s Beach Club Resort (#9), Disney’s Yacht Club Resort (#10), Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (#11), and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (#12).

‘Alice In Wonderland’ Themed Water Area Opens at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Walt Disney Imagineers have created a new Alice In Wonderland-themed water play area at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
The new area is highlighted by an upturned Mad Hatter’s Hat that dumps water when it’s filled up and a teacup that spills water into smaller cups that shower guests playing below. Kids can also enjoy sprinklers and water spouts on the ground, as well as two mini water slides.

More Royal Wedding Fun at Walt Disney World

As the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton draws closer, Disney continues to amp up the fun factor for all of us who are not able to actually attend the royal nuptials.
