The Walt Disney Studios Announces Reimagining of ‘The Lion King’ with Director Jon Favreau

The Walt Disney Studios has announced that the classic film The Lion King will be reimagined in a new project from director Jon Favreau.
The hit film The Jungle Book – also a live-action reimagining by Favreau – earned $965.8 million worldwide. A sequel to The Jungle Book is in development.
The Lion King will include songs from the animated film – much like the 2017 live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson as Belle.

Teaser Trailer for ‘Iron Man 3′ Released

Disney and Marvel Studios have released a teaser trailer for the upcoming flick Iron Man 3. At 17 seconds, the teaser gives fans just enough information to whet their appetites for more – but a full theatrical trailer is expected to be released soon.
Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, and James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley. You can check out the sneak preview below, but stay tuned for a full theatrical trailer sometime this week.

Screenwriter Michael Chabon to Write Upcoming ‘Magic Kingdom’ Film

We reported a few months ago that Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Chabon was rumored to write the script for Disney’s upcoming film Magic Kingdom. As of this past week, the rumors have proved to be true, and Chabon has officially signed on as screenwriter of the film. Jon Favreau, as previously announced, will direct. Work on the film is apparently well underway, and while few details about the film’s story have been released, the film will take place at Disneyland and “may even be connected to other parks worldwide.”

Jon Favreau to Direct “Magic Kingdom” Movie

Have you ever wondered what happens at Magic Kingdom after the last guest leaves?  Thanks to Disney and Jon Favreau, we may soon find out.
Favreau, director of the wildly popular “Iron Man” movies, is currently negotiating with Walt Disney Studios to produce “Magic Kingdom,” a film starring everyone’s favorite park.  The movie, similar to Fox’s “Night at the Museum,” would feature rides, characters -  maybe even the Hall of Presidents? – come to life.
