Bridgit Mendler Wins 2012 Role Model of the Year Award

Disney Channel star Bridgit Mendler (Good Luck Charlie) was awarded the 2012 Role Model of the Year Award from Common Sense Media, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching parents and teachers how to safely manage media and technology in children’s lives. The award was given during Common Sense Media’s 8th annual awards ceremony on April 25 in San Francisco.
In addition to her role on Good Luck Charlie, Mendler enjoyed a role in the Disney Channel movie Lemonade Mouth and recently starred in a series of cyberbullying public service announcements. She …

New Disney Channel Series ‘Dog With a Blog’ Begins Production in June

We first brought you news of Disney Channel’s Dog With a Blog last year, and now sources say that the network has picked up the series and will begin production in June.
The new multi-camera comedy series will be told from the dog’s point of view. A family adopts a dog named Stan, hoping the pet will help the two feuding step siblings bond. The plan works when the siblings learn their new dog has extraordinary abilities – he can talk and write.

Disney XD Show ‘Pair of Kings’ Renewed for Third Season

The popular Disney XD sitcom Pair of Kings will be renewed for a third season, sources say. In fact, production on the hit show will resume shortly, and introduce a new character – actor Adam Hicks, from Lemonade Mouth and Zeke and Luther.
Hicks’s character will be a long-lost brother, adding to the already strange story of the island of Kinkow, which the sitcom revolves around. However, Mitchel Musso’s character Brady will not be returning to the show.

First Lady Michelle Obama and Disney Team Up to Support the Military

Four Disney stars who come from military families are collaborating with First Lady Michelle Obama in an effort to encourage young people to reach out to others who come from families that serve in the Armed Forces.

Walt Disney Records ‘Lemonade Mouth’ Soundtrack Debuts at #4 on the Billboard 200

The soundtrack to the smash Disney Channel hit Lemonade Mouth, produced by Walt Disney Records, has debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album was released on April 12, and has been consistently moving up in the charts, including reaching No. 1 on the iTunes Soundtrack Chart and No. 1 on Billboard’s Soundtrack and Children’s Music Charts.

‘Lemonade Mouth’ Stars Talk About Hitting the Road for a Tour

After Lemonade Mouth premiered on the Disney Channel over the weekend, the stars talked to MTV News about what’s next for them – including the possibility of a road tour!

Mark Peter Hughes Already Working On ‘Lemonade Mouth’ Sequel

Mark Peter Hughes’s teen novel-turned-movie Lemonade Mouth premieres tonight on the Disney Channel, but according to sources he’s already working on the sequel!  Says Hughes:
