The Walt Disney World Resort Announces New and Returning Holiday Experiences for 2017

The holiday season at Walt Disney World kicks off in early November and Disney has started to announce what experiences and events guests can expect.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is adding some new holiday events to its lineup including Sunset Seasons Greetings with a new projection show, enhanced holiday décor around Echo Lake, the return of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! and the accompanying dessert party, Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine, and Santa Claus at the Once Upon a Time Shop.

Disney After Hours Announced for Magic Kingdom in 2018

The dates have been announced for the Disney After Hours at the Magic Kingdom for early 2018.
The dates are: January 19, 26, and 30; February 8 and 15; and March 1 and 8.
The hours for the After Hours event are 8-11 p.m. on the January dates and February 8, and 9 p.m. until midnight on the remaining dates.
Guests attending the After Hours event have the chance to ride up to 25 attractions at the Magic Kingdom including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, and …

Special PhotoPass Photos at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2017 is today, August 25, and guests can take advantage of special PhotoPass opportunities at the Magic Kingdom.
PhotoPass Photographers will be situated throughout the park to capture party photos with Magic Shots, Animated Magic Shots, and more.
At the entrance of the park guests will find a Headless Horseman Magic Shot, and there are two Animated Magic Shots available on Main Street U.S.A.
Another Magic Shot is available near the Haunted Mansion.

Exclusive ‘Country Bear Jamboree’ Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Card Available at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

If you’re making plans to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this fall you’ll want to pick up the party-exclusive Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card.
This card – available only to party guests – features bears from the iconic attraction The Country Bear Jamboree.
The Bear were chosen for this year’s card because they’re perfect to represent the party atmosphere of the Halloween event.
This party-exclusive card will be distributed separately from the regular Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards that guests can pick up at the Firehouse on Main Street U.S.A.

Happy weekend! We’re back with our weekly recap of the biggest Disney news. Let’s check it out!
The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is August 25 and we have details on the commemorative merchandise available to party guests plus all the sweet treats you can nosh on at the party (and a few non-party items too!).

Check Out the Sweet Treats Coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for the season is August 25 and today we have a preview of some of the sweet eats you’ll find at the Magic Kingdom.
Guests can enjoy several of the items all day starting August 25 – without having to be at the party!
All-day items include a Halloween-themed cinnamon roll or a Mickey Mouse cupcake at the Main Street Bakery and pumpkin ice cream at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.

Celebrate Halloween at the Magic Kingdom and on Disney Cruise Line

It’s time to start planning your Halloween celebration at the Magic Kingdom or on the Disney Cruise Line!
This year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off August 25 and the Halloween on the High Seas celebrations start in September on board Disney Cruise Line.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs for a record 32 nights from August 25 through November 1. The party features Happy HalloWishes Fireworks,  Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, trick-or-treating, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and more.

Celebrate Disney PhotoPass Day on August 19

August 19 is World Photo Day and to celebrate guests at the Walt Disney World Resort can take part in Disney PhotoPass Day!
The day will be filled with special photo opportunities and rare character interactions. Some photo opps will be inspired by the Dream Big, Princess campaign.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Meeko will join Pocahontas, Timon will join Rafiki, and Princess Atta will join Flick.
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests can meet the Queen from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil at Sunset Showcase.

Mobile Order Comes to Epcot

The new Mobile Order system at the Walt Disney World Resort has made its way to Epcot.
The first quick service restaurant at Epcot where guests can use Mobile Order is Electric Umbrella in Future World.
Mobile Order allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for meals at counter service restaurants at the theme parks and Disney Springs. Guests using Mobile Order can then go straight to pick up their food when they arrive at the restaurant.

Main Street Electirical Parade Leaving Disneyland August 20

There are just a couple more weeks left for guest to catch the Main Street Electrical Parade in Disneyland before it ends its run on August 20.
The iconic nighttime parade left the Magic Kingdom and traveled back to Disneyland for a limited-time run.
There’s no word yet on where the parade might be headed next. It was first performed at Disneyland 45 years ago.
Disney hasn’t announced a replacement for the parade at either the Magic Kingdom or Disneyland park.
