Late last year, we announced that Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, a new role playing game, would be coming to Magic Kingdom theme park. While an official release date has not been set, sources say that we can expect this new experience sometime in February.

The sentence was vague and fleeting, like the glow from a light that shines for a moment, and then vanishes. That it lacked an attribution as to source made it even more indefinite. It was exactly what it purported to be, a rumor, yet even the mere possibility sent my heart racing.
It was buried in the December 21, 2011 “WDW News and Rumors” rundown from a popular Disney community website and it read:

On Saturday, January 14, Uma Thurman was spotted at Walt Disney World snapping a photo with Donald Duck.
While visiting the Magic Kingdom, Thurman posed for photographs in a 1900’s-inspired fire engine and seemed to be having a great time. The actress can next be seen in March’s Bel Ami, as well as in a multi-episode arc of NBC’s upcoming show Smash starring Katharine McPhee.

In plans that were revealed Tuesday, the White House has announced that President Barack Obama will be paying a visit to Walt Disney World later today. The president is expected to reveal policies that will give U.S. tourism a boost.
Central to the president’s message will be the push for visa reform, especially for countries like Brazil and China. The process for obtaining visas to visit the U.S. from both countries is arduous, and require in-person interviews and several days’ wait to gain permission to travel here.

Santa Claus has officially arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you’ll be able to catch him at several locations throughout the area. Santa’s Chalet, which opened November 18 at Downtown Disney, will operate from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. through the Thanksgiving holiday. Starting November 25, his hours will be extended from noon to 10 p.m. all the way until Christmas. Santa Goofy will then take over from December 25 until January 1, greeting guests from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

We’ve been following the progress on the New Fantasyland coming to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, an exciting expansion that will include exciting rides, experiences, and restaurants for park guests to enjoy. The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) announced the winners of their 18th Annual Thea Awards, and several Disney attractions, as well as an Imagineer, were honored.
Star Tours – The Adventure Continues at both Disneyland park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios were honored with the Award for Outstanding Achievement – Attraction Refresh, based on the extensive remake of the popular ride.
