New Jungle Cruise-Themed Restaurant May Be Coming to Magic Kingdom

There’s been some news swirling about lately regarding the possibility of a new restaurant coming to Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom.
If the current rumors are true, that restaurant could be a Jungle Cruise-themed restaurant located in area that used to be home to the Adventureland Veranda Restaurant sponsored by Kikkoman.
In recent year the Veranda has been home to different character meet-and-greets including Tinker Bell and Friends, Lilo & Stitch, and was even a Captain Jack meet-and-greet several years ago.

This Week in Disney News – Breakfast at Be Our Guest, Easter Eggs at Grand Floridian, and a New Dessert Party

Happy middle of March! We been covering a lot of big stories this week so let’s dive right in!
The week started out with news of a new breakfast offering at Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom! Reservations opened March 17, breakfast started on March 20 and will run in this test phase until June 18!
Reservations for another new food-related event opened last week too! The new Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party will be replacing the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party on July 5 and reservations are now open for this nighttime …

Reservations Now Open for the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom

Reservations opened today, March 20, for the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom.
The first party is planned for July 5, which means the current Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party is ending on July 4. The new Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party is an enhanced and updated version of the Tomorrowland Terrace party.
Guests can choose from a selection of themed desserts including chocolate mousse, ice cream, seasonal fruit and cheeses, Disney character-themed cupcakes, and more.

Reservations for Breakfast at Be Our Guest Now Open

After months of speculating and waiting, the wait is finally over, and today is the day that guests can book a reservation for breakfast at Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom.
The new breakfast at Be Our Guest is being tested between March 20 and June 18.
The new breakfast menu at Be Our Guest is a counter service option but it’s a prix fixe menu with a twist. Guests will pay a set price ($19.99 for adults and $11.99 for kids) and will receive a deluxe pastry basket to share, …

This Week in Disney News – ‘Frozen 2′, Pirates of the Caribbean Closure, and a New Name for Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It’s been a whirlwind of big Disney news this week so let’s dive right in!
Disney announced the official kickoff for summer is happening May 22 on both coasts! The Magic Kingdom is hosting a 24-hour event during Memorial Day weekend to start the “Coolest Summer Ever.”
The ‘Coolest Summer Ever’ will include Frozen Summer Fun LIVE at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from June 17 through September 7, Star Wars Weekends from May 15 through June 14, plus the opening of several new restaurants and shops at Downtown Disney.

Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace Swap Spots at the Magic Kingdom

If you’re looking for a Dole Whip float at the Magic Kingdom, you’ll need to walk a bit farther into Adventureland to find it.
Aloha Isle has swapped locations with the Sunshine Tree Terrace.
This means that Aloha Isle is now located just behind Magic Carpets of Aladdin in Adventureland in a bigger chunk of real estate than before. And the Sunshine Tree Terrace is now located near the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse just over the bridge into Adventureland.

Merchandise Inspired by ‘Cinderella’ Arrives in Disney Parks Ahead of Film’s Release

The new live-action Cinderella opens in theaters tomorrow, March 13, but guests at the Disney Parks can already find merchandise inspired by the film.
The Cinderella-themed merchandise includes drinkware, dolls, an open edition Disney pin, and T-shirts for girls feature artwork inspired by the film.
A limited-edition Disney Pin was released today at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. This pin has an edition size of 3,000.

Disney Announces ‘Coolest Summer Ever’ and a 24-Hour Event at the Magic Kingdom

This summer is going to be the ‘Coolest Summer Ever’ at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney is kicking things off with a special 24-hour event at the Magic Kingdom on May 22.
The all-night party to kick off summer at Walt Disney World Resort is May 22-23 and guests are invited to dress in costumes to show their Disney Side. Select attractions, entertainment, merchandise, plus food and beverage items will be available at the 24-hour party.
The all-night party will also feature Disney characters, dance parties, and other surprises.

Pirates of the Caribbean Closing for Lengthy Refurbishment on May 11

The very popular Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the Magic Kingdom is closing in May for a lengthy refurbishment.
The ride will be closed from May 11 until September 25 so that it can undergo what Disney is calling a “routine refurbishment.”
There have been reports lately of issues with the ride’s animatronic characters and with boats taking on water during the ride.
Last year a guest was seriously injured and lost his fingertips on the ride and a young boy also suffered a hand injury in a separate incident.

Dates Announced for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

It’s time to start making plans for two of the biggest holiday parties at Walt Disney World Resort.
The dates for the 2015 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party have been announced.
The Halloween party is planned for 25 nights beginning in September. The dates are: September 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27; October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31; and November 1.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is planned for 20 nights in November and December. …
