One week into November and it’s officially Christmas time at the Magic Kingdom!
The first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicked off the holiday season on November 7.
New to the party this year is a special Frozen-themed castle lighting show with Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. And, everyone’s favorite Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, is meeting guests as Sandy Claws.
Guests attending the holiday party can pick up a special Elsa ‘Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom’ card at the Firehouse on Main Street U.S.A.

When Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returns November 7 guests will have a chance to pick up the event-exclusive Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card featuring Elsa.
The card – Elsa’s Icy Shield – will allow Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom players to harness some of the queen’s special powers.
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is the park’s interactive game that lets players join Merlin’s quest to defeat the Disney Villains who are trying to take over the park. The game cards feature Disney characters and their powers, which players can use …

The winter holiday season officially kicks off Friday with the very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the season.
This year the party will include ‘A Frozen Holiday Wish’ and the addition of Frozen characters to Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Santa Claus, Santa Goofy, and “Sandy Claws” will be on hand to greet guests.
Other new characters in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade include Ralph and Vanellope from Wreck-It-Ralph. They’ll join other Disney characters, snowmen, reindeer, elves, and Santa.

When Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts November 7, guests will have a chance to pick up some brand new merchandise.
This year’s party merchandise includes a retail MagicBand that is sold in a decorative box. The limited-edition MagicBand will sell for $29.95 and guests purchasing the MagicBand must present a valid theme park admission, Memory Maker card, or an active MagicBand.
Guests can also purchase Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party themed apparel, including short and long-sleeve T-shirts for kids and adults.

As the holiday season ramps up heading into November, the Walt Disney World Resort has a month full of special merchandise events for guests.
On November 1 and 2 guests can take part in a special launch of Disney Infinity 2.0 at Once Upon a Toy in the Downtown Disney Marketplace.
Fan favorite artist Larry Dotson will be at the Art of Disney in Epcot each day from November 3 through 6. And artist David E. Doss will appear each day at the Art of Disney in Downtown Disney, November 6-9.

Guests with plans to visit the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving feast at several locations around property.
Akershus in Epcot’s Norway pavilion will feature special Thanksgiving menu on November 27 that includes turkey breast with all the sides in addition to Norwegian meatballs and pan-seared salmon. At Sanaa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge the menu will include poppy seed lavash, naan, and apple-cranberry achar. Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge will also have a special holiday menu.

Walt Disney World Resort is currently testing a one-day Memory Maker during the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Through the end of the month, guests attending the Magic Kingdom’s hard ticket event can purchase the Memory Maker entitlement. It will be added to the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket at a cost of $39.
During the party all of the Disney PhotoPass pictures will be added to the Memory Maker including photos that were taken earlier in the day – before the party started.

If you are visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios this week and want to ride Toy Story Midway Mania, you better have a FastPass+.
The Walt Disney World resort is testing an experimental system where only guests who have a FastPass+ will be able to ride the very popular attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This test runs through Thursday, October 9 according to several reports.
In recent months Disney has also tried the same “FastPass+ only” system for the Anna and Elsa meet-and-greet at the Magic Kingdom.

The Haunted Mansion-themed shop has officially opened at the Magic Kingdom.
Memento Mori – located in Liberty Square in the former location of the Yankee Trader – is said to be the former home of Madame Leota.
Fans will find an assortment of authentic Haunted Mansion merchandise that has been created just for the Disney Parks.
This new shop also has a few “rules” that guests need to know. Visitors at Memento Mori have a purchase limit of six items per style, per guest, per day for all products carried in the store.
