Space Mountain Merchandise at Magic Kingdom is Out of This World

The Magic Kingdom’s iconic Space Mountain just celebrated an anniversary on January 19 and guests can check out some fun themed merchandise at the park’s Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.
The store is home a fun collection of tees for adults and kids, but there’s one shirt that fans can only order online starting January 25. The shirt was designed by Disney Design Group artist Richard Terpstra and it features artwork based on the promotional art from the 1970s.

Several Alex and Ani Character Bangles to be Retired This Month

Fans of the Disney Alex and Ani bangles take note – several popular character silhouettes will be retired on January 11.
The Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Mickey Mouse and Pluto silhouettes are set to retire to make way for new Alex and Ani designs.
The soon-to-be-retired bangles can still be purchases online and at stores in both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

Disney Vacation Club Celebrating 25th Anniversary

Disney Vacation Club is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with special events and an all-new Member Lounge in Epcot’s Imagination Pavilion.
The new DVC Member Lounge will feature complimentary soft drinks, Wi-FI, charging stations, computers with printers, and Member Services advisers.
There is no word yet on when the DVC Member Lounge is scheduled to open, but we’ll share the information as soon as we get it!
Also this year as part of the 25th anniversary celebration, DVC is hosting a “Disney Vacation Club 25 and Beyond Bash” at the Magic Kingdom.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Home with a Viewing of the ‘Fantasy in the Sky’ Fireworks

If you’re celebrating New Year’s Eve from the comfort of your own home but you’re longing to be at Walt Disney World, we have a solution.
Watch the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks live on the Disney Parks Blog starting at 11:50 p.m. on December 31!
To watch the fireworks just log in to the Disney Parks blog at about 11:45 p.m. and the live feed will show up as a new blog post.

New Year’s Eve Celebrations Planned at the Walt Disney World Resort

If you’re making plans to ring in the New Year at the Walt Disney World Resort you have a few celebratory options.
Epcot is hosting nighttime party that includes a DJ and a light show at the Future World Fountain Stage. Guests can also dance under flame effects with a smoke-billowing dragon in the China pavilion, enjoy “Europop” in Italy, a Latin band and DJ at the America Gardens Stage, and a “silent DJ” party in Japan.

Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Soft Opening at the Magic Kingdom

The wait is over! The Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen is currently in soft opening at the Magic Kingdom with the official grand opening set for December 16.
The 222-seat table service restaurant is located in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom and features dishes inspired by the tastes of Asia, South America, and Africa.
Guests can dine in three distinct dining rooms – the Crew’s Mess Hall, the Falls Family Parlor, or the Secret Meeting Room of the S.E.A. (Society of Adventurers and Explorers). The restaurant is staffed by Jungle Cruise …

Walt Disney World Resort Announces December Merchandise Events

It’s time to get your holiday shopping started and the Walt Disney World Resort has a month full of special merchandise events to help you out!
Artist Greg McCullough is appearing at the Art of Disney in Disney Springs for a special artist showcase from now through December 10 from 1-8 p.m. each day. Greg will be back for another appearance from December 26 through January 3.
