Epcot Festival of the Arts Kicks Off January 13

The first Epcot International Festival of the Arts kicks off in just one week on January 13.
This brand new festival will run for six weekends through February 20, and will feature new art every weekend.
The festival will showcase visual, culinary, and performing arts.
The visual art portion of the Festival will feature pieces by Disney historical artist Mary Blair, Herb Ryman art of Epcot, and current Disney artists including Joe Kaminski and Costa Alavezos.
Performing art for the Festival is from Disney Theatrical Productions and includes music and Broadway talent at the …

Disney Announces New Epcot International Festival of the Arts Coming in 2017

A brand new festival is coming to Epcot in January – the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
This new event starts January 13 and runs through February 20, and includes art, food, and performing arts each weekend.
The festival will feature art from Disney historical artist Mary Blair, Herb Ryman art of Epcot, and current Disney artists such as Joe Kaminski and Costa Alavezos.

Final Limited Time Magic Surprise Features Merchandise with New 2014 Disney Parks Artwork

This week’s Limited Time Magic surprise is the final one of the year and it features the debut of some the new Disney Parks artwork for next year.
The artwork – selected by fans – is debuting on 2014 dated items including T-shirts, D-Tech phone cases, coffee mugs, and a watch.

Disney Interactive Launches Online Animated Series ‘it’s a small world: the animated series’

Disney Interactive has launched a new online series it’s a small world: the animated series inspired by the Disney Parks attraction.
The series is sponsored by Rosetta Stone and features eight episodes that introduce families to unique words and customs from around the world.
This animated series features original music from Richard Sherman, the legendary songwriter behind the attraction’s theme song. The animation is inspired by Disney artist Mary Blair’s original designs from the attraction.

September Programs, Exhibits, and Special Events Announced for the Walt Disney Family Museum

The Walt Disney Family Museum has announced the slate of special events, exhibitions, and programs for the month of September.
Happening now through February 3, 2014, is ‘Water to Paper, Paint to Sky: The Art of Tyrus Wong’ which is a special exhibition that focuses on the life and work of Chinese-American artist Tyrus Wong.

More than 4 decades have passed since the introduction of It’s A Small World, and it still remains one of the most famous attractions at Disney Parks.
