‘Toy Story 3’ Scribe Michael Arndt to Write ‘Star Wars Episode VII’ Script

While Disney and Lucasfilm’s announcement that a new Star Wars film would arrive in theaters in 2015 came less than two weeks ago, progress is already being made on this highly anticipated film. This week, it was announced that pre-production for the film has already begun, and already attached to the film is Michael Arndt, who will pen the film’s script.

Disney Scraps Live-Action ‘Snow White’

Disney has decided to scrap their live-action, kung-fu samurai take on the classic Snow White, which was to be named The Order of the Seven.
Despite the fact Disney has been working on this project for 10 years, it’s no surprise that they decided to scrap the film given Universal’s live-action remake Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror, Mirror which hits theaters June 1.

Saoirse Ronan to Star in Disney’s Live-Action ‘Snow White’

The Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, who recently starred in the action flick Hanna, is slated to star in Disney’s action-focused take on the cartoon classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
Dubbed Snow and the Seven, the live-action film takes place in 19th century China, with the “seven dwarves” being a group of international warriors from various countries. In order to defeat an evil empress who has re-emerged, the group will be led by a lone woman named Olivia Sinclair, the role Ronan will play.

‘Toy Story 3’ Writer Michael Arndt to Pen Script for ‘Phineas and Ferb’ Feature Film

Fans of the hit Disney Channel show Phineas and Ferb will soon be able to see their favorite characters on the big screen. Phineas and Ferb will be coming to theaters in a new feature film in the summer of 2013, and it looks like Disney is truly trying to make this movie a big summer hit.

Michael Gracey to Direct Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Adaptation ‘Order of the Seven’

Disney’s upcoming live-action Snow White adaptation Order of the Seven has found its director. The film, previously known as Snow White and the Seven, will be directed by Michael Gracey.
Order of the Seven will not be your typical Snow White retelling. Snow White is going to be one busy princess in 2012.

‘Toy Story 3’ Tops TIME’s Best Movies List

“Toy Story 3” has been critically acclaimed, and audiences have overwhelmingly embraced the sequel this year, making it a commercial success as well.  And now, we can add TIME magazine to the list of fans.
In it’s Top 10 of Everything feature, TIME has named “Toy Story 3” as the Number one movie of 2010.  The article recognizes director Lee Unkrich and writer Michael Arndt as leaders in Hollywood circles, who have created a “powerful fable” that could teach movie writers and makers a thing or two about storytelling.
