Sheraton Safari to Get a $25 Million Makeover

AREA Property Partners and Winston Harton Holdings LLC of New York City, have jointly purchased the Sheraton Safari Hotel and Suites located just outside of Walt Disney World and an undisclosed sum.
The companies plan to begin immediate renovations to the tune of $25 million.  The plans are scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2012.  Once the overhaul is complete, the 489-room hotel will retain the Sheraton name.

More on Disney Hotels and Priceline Agreement

Last week, we brought you news that Disney would begin offering hotel rooms on Priceline.com, the popular online travel booking website.  This week, more details regarding the agreement are being made available.

Disney to Offer Hotel Room Booking on Priceline

Bargain hunters interested in staying on Walt Disney World property have never found the resort’s hotel rooms on Priceline.com, but that is about to change.  After years of avoiding the website, with its claims of “No one does deals like we do,” Disney has announced that Walt Disney World hotel rooms will become part of Priceline’s inventory next month.
Disney rooms will only be available through the site’s conventional booking engine, however.  Guests looking to use Priceline’s “Name Your Own Price,” will need to stay elsewhere.  “We are not participating in …
