Disney Channel will be airing a special episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates for International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
On Wednesday, September 19, Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Jake Saves Bucky will feature Peter Pan’s return to Never Land to help Jake and his crew win back their ship after losing it in a race against Captain Hook.

New ‘Aristocats’ App Released for iPhone and iPad

Disney’s classic film The Aristocats continues to be a favorite among fans, and now the movie has its own app for the iPhone and iPad.
Following a similar vein as Disney’s The Jungle Book and Peter Pan storybook apps, The Aristocats app has plenty of interactive features that perfectly suit the story of Duchess and her three kittens. Peter Pan Coming to ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates’ in February

In his first-ever appearance, Peter Pan will be coming to Jake and the Never Land Pirates in an exclusive primetime special airing on the Disney Channel February 13, 2012.
The special, dubbed Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns will feature six original songs and highlight Peter Pan’s return to Pirate Island, where he will ask Jake, Izzy, Cubby and Skully to help find his lost shadow. Adam Wylie will provide the voice for Peter Pan.

‘Peter and the Starcatcher’ to Debut on Broadway in 2012

Disney announced the exciting news this week that a new Disney Theatricals production will soon be flying to Broadway. Peter and the Starcatcher, a musical play based on the book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, will open on Broadway in Spring 2012.

Magic Kingdom Parking Lot Getting a Makeover

In order to help guests locate their vehicles more easily, the parking lot at Disney’s Magic Kingdom theme park will be getting a makeover. Work has already begun on dividing the lot into two distinct sections: Heroes and Villains.
Within each section of the parking lot, there will be smaller named areas including Aladdin, Peter Pan, Simba, Woody, Mulan and Rapunzel in the Heroes lot. Disney Junior Launches in Canada

Specialty channel Playhouse Disney has officially changed to Disney Juniorin Canada, and will be a subscription-based channel focusing on learning and development content for young children. Playhouse Disney Télé, the French-language version of the network, has also officially made the switch to Disney Junior.

Prequel to ‘Peter Pan’ to Hit the Big Screen?

At the company’s annual shareholders meeting last week, Disney president and CEO Bob Iger told those in attendance that the studio is tinkering with the idea of bringing “Peter and the Starcatchers” -a prequel to “Peter Pan” – to the big screen.
Disney went as far as hiring a screenwriter to adapt the book of the same name, written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson in 2004, but Iger said that while they “considered making it a movie… we haven’t made a decision on that yet.”
