Pirates of the Caribbean Reopens at Disneyland

Pirates of the Caribbean has reopened at Disneyland Park, complete with a new auction scene starring Redd who is now a pirate!
The new scene features Redd as “a pirate auctioneer overseeing a sale of the townspeople’s most prized possessions and goods.”
In addition to the reopening of the updated attraction, guests at Disneyland can also enjoy a limited-time menu at The Blue Bayou featuring Pirates-themed eats.

Disneyland Paris Celebrating the Festival of Pirates and Princesses

The Festival of Pirates and Princesses has started at Disneyland Paris as part of the parks’ 25th anniversary celebration.
The festival includes the all-new live show “Disney Pirate or Princess: Make Your Choice!” which features princess floats and pirate floats that start at opposing ends of the park.
The princesses and pirates come together in the middle at Central Plaza in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle for the finale of the show.
Guests are then invited to pick a side and can join in the show!

Pirates of the Caribbean Reopens with New Auction Scene

Pirates of the Caribbean has reopened at the Magic Kingdom and a popular scene on the attraction has changed.
The auction scene was recently updated and now features an auction of the townspeople’s good, which were stolen by the pirates.
The Redhead who was part of the iconic original auction scene is now a pirate named Redd who, according to the description, has “just pillaged the town’s rum supply and has something to say about it.”

Disney PhotoPass Celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19

Tomorrow, September 19, is International Talk Like a Pirate Day and Disney PhotoPass is celebrating the holiday at Walt Disney World.
Guests can visit the PhotoPass photographer across from Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom for a Magic Shot photo between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
If you’re riding Pirates of the Caribbean (all year, not just on Talk Like a Pirate Day), you’ll have your image captured in true pirate style!

New ‘Throughout the Years’ Collection Coming to Disney Dream Store at D23 Expo

The Disney Dream Store at the D23 Expo will feature the new “Throughout the Years” merchandise collections.
The collection celebrate milestones at the Disney Parks including the 50th anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean, the 40th anniversary of Space Mountain, Epcot’s 35th anniversary, and the 30th anniversary of Star Tours.
The collections were created in collaboration with the Walt Disney Archives. The designers were able to use archival images to incorporate into the merchandise designs.

New Headware to Debut at Disney Dream Store at D23 Expo

The Disney Dream Store at this year’s D23 Expo is the spot to find Disney Parks apparel, art, collectibles, and hats.
This year the Dream Store will feature a specially designed ear hat that was made just for the D23 Expo. Other new hats at the Dream Store include ear hats with interchangeable bows.
The Interchangeable Bow Collection will debut at the Disney Parks this fall, but D23 Expo attendees will have a chance to see the collection first.

New Photo Capture Coming to Pirates of the Caribbean

A new PhotoPass photo capture is coming to Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom starting June 19.
Guests on Pirates of the Caribbean will have their photo captured by PhotoPass as they exit the haunted grotto and enter the world of pirates.
The photo will be available for viewing on the My Disney Experience app and via MyDisneyPhotoPass.com.
In order to preview, purchase and download the attraction photo guests must be wearing their MagicBand. The photo will be linked to the guests’ My Disney Experience account.

This weekend marks the arrival in theaters of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and guests at the Disney Parks can be part of the swashbuckling fun!

New Pirate-Themed Exhibit Announced for D23 Expo 2017

A new pirate-themed exhibit has been announced for the 2017 D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The exhibit, ‘Walt Disney Archives Presents – A Pirate’s Life for me: Disney’s Rascals, Scoundrels, and Really Bad Eggs,’ is a 12,000 square foot exhibit that celebrates some of Disney’s most popular pirates.
The exhibit will feature artwork, attraction vehicles, Audio-Animatronics® figures, and more.

Pirates of the Caribbean Celebrates 50 Years this Weekend at Disneyland

This weekend marks the 50th anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland and the celebration starts March 16.
Guests will have a chance to nosh on pirate-themed food at French Market Restaurant, Mint Julep Bar, Harbour Galley, Royal Street Verandah, Café Orleans, and the Blue Bayou Restaurant.
Specialty food items include gold-dusted churros, a Buccaneer Pulled Pork Sandwich, Lost Treasure Beignets, Jolly Roger Punch, and Calypso’s Caribbean Chicken Stew.
