New Collectible Popcorn Buckets Coming to the Disney Parks

Earlier this week the Disney Parks were celebrating National Popcorn Day (yes, it’s a “holiday”) and announced new collectible popcorn buckets.
Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will soon be able to purchase a new lotus popcorn bucket that also lights up, turning into a luminary.
This lotus popcorn bucket won’t be available until “later this year” likely in conjunction with the opening of the Rivers of Light nighttime show later this spring. The show will feature lanterns and some of the concept art has features lotus blossoms.

The Week in Disney News: Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Opening Soon, Pop Secret Named Official Disney Parks Popcorn, and More

It was a week of big news in the world of Disney so let’s jump right in!
As the transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs continues it was announced that Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is opening on September 22!
The menu at Jock Lindsey’s will include tapas-style dishes and unique beverages. There will be a definite aviation theme to the restaurant, including the dishes used for serving food.
In other food-related news we learned that Pop Secret has been named the official popcorn for the Disney Parks.

Pop Secret Named Official Popcorn for Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort

The popcorn you know and love at the Disney theme parks is getting a makeover.
Disney and Diamond Foods, Inc., recently announced that they’ve entered into a “strategic alliance” tied to the Pop Secret brand of popcorn. This means Pop Secret is now the official popcorn of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.
In a press release Burke Raine, Vice President of Marketing, Snacks, at Diamond said, “Pop Secret popcorn and Disney both have deep associations with movies and encourage lasting memories shaped by fun family activities.”
