Maleficent and Princess Merida to be Part of Disney Infinity 2.0

Disney’s most iconic villain and a Brave princess are set to join the roster of heroes and villanins in Disney Infinity’s 2.0 Edition.
Disney Interactive announced the addition of Maleficent and Princess Merida during a preview of Disney’s Maleficent. The live-action film opened nationwide on May 30 and stars Angelina Jolie in the title role.
The horned fairy and the fiery-haired princess will be joining The Avengers in Disney Infinity 2.0, including Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Hawkeye.

Adventures by Disney Takes Guests to Scotland, Home of Disney’s Princess Merida

If you’ve ever wanted to see the land that inspired Disney/Pixar’s Brave, Adventures by Disney can take you there.
The Adventures by Disney Scotland vacation takes guests to the Scottish Highland – the inspiration behind Merida’s homeland.
The trip includes a visit to the Loch Ness Exhibition Center and then families have the chance to explore Loch Ness to see if Nessie really exists.
Other adventures on this trip include visiting Urquhart Castle – a popular location for Nessie sightings – and horseback riding and archery at Rothiemurchus Estate.

Merida Officially Becomes Eleventh Disney Princess in Magic Kingdom Ceremony

Today was an important day for the Disney Princesses, as Merida, star of Disney/Pixar’s Brave, officially became the eleventh Disney Princess. The coronation took place during a ceremony held this morning at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
The ceremony was attended by all ten current Disney Princesses: Snow White, Aurora, Belle, Ariel, Cinderella, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Tiana, Mulan, and Rapunzel. Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas was also on hand to preside over the ceremony, and Merida was officially given the title of a Disney Princess by her mother, Queen Elinor.

Video: Happy Father’s Day from ‘Brave’

Happy Father’s Day! In celebration of the holiday, Disney/Pixar recently released a new trailer for the upcoming film Brave, which highlights the relationship between the film’s protagonist, Princess Merida, and her loving father.
This new video includes flashbacks to Merida’s childhood and some special moments between her and her father, Fergus. With the film’s theatrical debut just a few days away, this new trailer makes us even more excited for what’s in store for audiences come June 22. Check out the new trailer below:

Disney California Adventure ‘World of Color’ to Introduce ‘Brave’ Sequence

Disney California Adventure’s World of Color nighttime spectacular has seen plenty of improvements and updates since it’s debut in 2010. With the release of Disney/Pixar’s Brave this year, the show will be getting another update – a sequence inspired by the upcoming film.
In the new sequence, which will be set to composer Patrick Doyle’s Scottish-inspired score, we will be introduced to Princess Merida as she races across the Highlands on a mission to change the fate of her world.

A few weeks ago, we let you know that Princess Merida from the upcoming Pixar film Brave will soon be getting her own meet-and-greet in both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. This week, however, the character made her first Disney Parks appearance in Epcot, coming out to greet Walt Disney World guests for the first time.
Although this does not appear to be a regular meet-and-greet, guests may be able to find Merida here in Epcot sporadically before her permanent location in the Magic Kingdom opens in a …
