Disney Channel’s popular television series Sonny With a Chance will be returning to the network this summer with a new name – So Random!, which will feature sketch comedy and musical performances.
Even though former Disney starlet Demi Lovato has left the show, the remaining cast members, including Tiffany Thornton, Sterling Knight, and Brandon Mychal Smith will be returning to the newly-named show.
New characters will also be introduced when the show debuts, including the familiar sounding Jack Sparrow, as well as Mc Grammar and Bracey Girrlz.

Since exiting a treatment center for “physical and emotional” issues earlier this year, fans of Demi Lovato have been waiting to see whether she’d return to her role on Disney’s Sonny with a Chance. Late Thursday, Disney actress/singer Demi Lovato tweeted about her upcoming appearance on Good Morning America, which will mark her first interview since exiting a rehab facility in January for “emotional and physical issues.” The interview, whose air date has not been announced, will appear on both Good Morning America and 20/20.

Producers of Demi Lovato’s show “Sonny with a Chance” have come up with a win/win situation for the actress while she is on a self-imposed break, seeking therapy for personal issues.
The popular Disney Channel sitcom, which centers around a show-within-a-show called “So Random!” will  focus more attention on the “So Random!” storyline, and will include more musical numbers, guest stars, and comedy sketches.  “So Random!” will, in effect, take over for “Sonny with a Chance” in the meantime.

Demi Lovato, star of the Disney sitcom “Sonny with a Chance,” has voluntarily checked herself into a treatment center to address “emotional and physical issues,” according to the young entertainer’s representatives.
The eighteen year-old, who has also released several records, had been a special guest on the Jonas Brothers’ international tour before she left over the weekend to enter an undisclosed facility.
