New ‘Throughout the Years’ Collection Coming to Disney Dream Store at D23 Expo

The Disney Dream Store at the D23 Expo will feature the new “Throughout the Years” merchandise collections.
The collection celebrate milestones at the Disney Parks including the 50th anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean, the 40th anniversary of Space Mountain, Epcot’s 35th anniversary, and the 30th anniversary of Star Tours.
The collections were created in collaboration with the Walt Disney Archives. The designers were able to use archival images to incorporate into the merchandise designs.

New ‘Star Wars’ Guided Tour Starts January 2 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The all-new Star Wars Guided Tour is set to begin January 2 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The seven-hour tour is led by an “in the know” guide and includes a reserved viewing for Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away; a ride on Star Tours – The Adventures Continue; a chance for kids to participate in Jedi Training; a tour and character meet-and-greets at Star Wars Launch Bay; a quick service dinner with Star Wars-themed food; and a viewing of the fireworks plus the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular dessert party.

Early Morning Magic Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Starting August 1

Disney Early Morning Magic is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting August 1.
The special event launched earlier this year at the Magic Kingdom gives guests a chance to experience the Studios early and enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast.
Early Morning Magic at the Studios will include Star Tours – The Adventure Continues, Toy Story Mania, Pixar Place character greetings, in addition to other character meets including Mickey and Minnie.

A Renovated Star Tours Opens at Tokyo Disneyland

As the celebration of Tokyo Disney Resort’s 30th anniversary continues, a renovated Star Tours: The Adventures Continue opened at the park earlier this month. The new ride is an updated version of the original ride that opened at the park in 1989.
The virtual reality-based attraction features Star Wars characters and destinations in 3D, and includes more than 50 story combinations that are produced through random selection of scenarios. Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Gets Opening Date in Tokyo Disneyland

After opening in Walt Disney World and Disneyland last year, ‘Star Tours: The Adventures Continue’ will soon be arriving at Tokyo Disneyland. Coming just a few days after the monumental news that Disney has acquired Lucasfilm, Tokyo Disneyland has now announced that the updated Star Tours attraction will open at the park on May 7, 2013.
Tokyo Disneyland previously housed the original version of ‘Star Tours’, which closed in April 2012 to make way for the updated attraction. The updated attraction, which comes with a price tag of  over $87 million, will …

Disneyland Paris CEO Talks Future Plans for the Theme Park

Phillipe Gas, the CEO of Euro Disney S.C.A., talked candidly about some of the upcoming projects Disneyland Paris has in the pipeline.
One of the major announcements centered around a multi-year park expansion that’s planned, starting with the opening of a new attraction in 2014. Not much was said about this new attraction, but Gas did say that it would be French themed and a “world first” ride.

‘Disneyland Explorer’ App Now Available for iPad

With the new Disneyland Explorer app for the iPad, users can now experience all of the sights and sounds Disneyland Resort has to offer without ever leaving the comfort of their own home.
Over 100 experiences are shared via the app, including images, interactive touch points and videos that enable users to explore many of the attractions Disneyland has to offer. As you scroll through the images, you can explore the Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction, Star Tours, the themed Disneyland Hotel suites and plenty more.

‘Star Tours’ Getting a Remake at Tokyo Disneyland

Following the success of the Star Tours remakes at Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Tokyo Disneyland will be revamping the popular attraction as well, renaming it Star Tours: The Adventure Continues. The original attraction opened at the park in 1989, and after more than 20 years it continues to be a guest favorite year after year.

Star Sighting: ‘Good Luck Charlie’ Stars Celebrate Halloween Time at Disneyland Park

Leigh-Allyn Baker and Bradley Steven Perry from Disney Channel’s hit series Good Luck Charlie stopped by Disneyland park last week for some frightfully good fun with Mickey and Goofy.
Kim, Bradley’s real-life mom, was also on hand for the festivities – this was the first time any of them had experienced Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. Sources say that, despite the Halloween-themed Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy attractions, both of them were most excited about experiencing Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

D23 Expo to Feature ‘Carousel of Projects’ From Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

More details were announced today about Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ presence at the upcoming D23 Expo.
