Star Wars Meets Indiana Jones at Last Tour to Endor Event

The Last Tour to Endor, part of Star Wars Celebration V, is becoming more fleshed out as Disney World show writer and imagineer Jason Surrell continues to leak more information.
According to Surrell, even more attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are becoming part of the Celebration. Special Star Wars “Last Flight to Endor” Party Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

On Saturday, August 14th Disney will be holding a special event to commemorate the closing of “Star Tours” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. Even though “Star Tours 2.0″ is set to open in 2011, as a re-imagineered attraction, many fans are sad to see the popular original go. A limited number of tickets will be available for the “Last Flight to Endor” party which takes place after park hours, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

D23 Members to Get “Last Ride” on Disneyland’s “Star Tours” Attraction

On July 14th, the first 160 D23 members to sign up will get the opportunity to be the last riders on “Star Tours” before it shuts down for a major overhaul. Those lucky enough to experience this last run of the galactic flight to Endor will meet at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney on July 26th to be escorted, after park closing, into Disneyland proper. Accompanied by D23 staffers, the 160 guests will board four Starspeeder 3000 vehicles to experience the attraction as it will never be …

More Star Tours 2.0 Details

For those looking forward to Disney’s new Star Tours 2.0 the LA Times Blog has some details about the upcoming ride.
Much has been made of how the ride will have various story lines and will “never be the same twice.” While that could have many meanings it makes sense that Disney would try to maximize the number of times guests can get a new experience from the same ride.

New Details Emerge About Revamped “Star Tours” Attraction

Last fall Disney announced that the “Star Tours” attraction in both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World were going to close this summer and undergo some needed updates. Fans were excited when the announcement revealed details that the 23-year-old spaceflight simulator was going to take guests on a journey to Tatooine, instead of the current trip to Endor. Interactive C3PO Talks & Mingles With Guests at Disney’s “Star Wars Weekends”

Contracted by Lucasfilm and approved by Star Wars creator George Lucas himself, a new interactive & talking C3PO droid scuttled his way through Disney’s Hollywood Studios park to greet guests during “Star Wars Weekends.” Even though the famous droid has been part of the event in the past this time he’s interacting with guests in an amazing way, he’s talking to them!
