runDisney Announces Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon for 2018

runDisney has announce a new virtual running experience for this year – the Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon.
This virtual race gives participants that chance to run a half marathon wherever they enjoy running – outside, on a treadmill – and earn a Star Wars finisher medal.
Registration is open for the Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon from now until February 28. Runners in this weekend’s Disney World Marathon can also register at the Health & Fitness Expo.
The virtual half marathon must be completed by March 31.

Star Wars Force For Changes Teams with Omaze for New Fundraising Campaign

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, a new Star Wars: Force For Change campaign has been announced.
Star Wars: Force For Change has teamed with Omaze to launch the ‘Star Wars Past, Present, and Future’ campaign that will benefit UNICEF and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
This new campaign kicked off April 11 and runs through May 11. Fans can enter a contest at Omaze.com/StarWars to have the chance to win a different prize pack each week.

New Merchandise for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Coming to Disney Parks for Star Wars: Force For Change

The Disney Parks have once again partnered with Lucasfilm to sell specially designed products to support the Star Wars: Force For Change initiative that supports the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
Force for Change “harnesses the strength of Star Wars to empower and improve the lives of children around the world.”
New items are arriving this spring at the Disney Parks in support of the initiative.
The merchandise includes T-shirts for adults and kids, plus a pin featuring the logo and characters from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Guests Can Support ‘Star Wars’: Force for Change at the Disney Parks Starting May 4

Beginning May 4 – Star Wars Day – guests at the Disney Parks can support Star Wars: Force for Change.
On May 4 a new T-shirt featuring the logo for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will go on sale with 25 percent of the profits from sales going to U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
The shirts are the very first products for Rogue One and they were designed specifically for the Disney Parks.

Gold BB-8 Created for Force For Change Auction

There’s another golden droid in the Star Wars universe.
Kay Jewelers has created a gold BB-8 for a special auction sponsored by Force For Change.
The custom golden figures is 4.25 inches tall and weighs more than 1.5 lbs. It is set in 18K yellow gold and features 18 carats worth of diamonds.

Code.org Unveils a Star Wars-Themed Computer Science Tutorial as Part of Hour of Code Campaign

As part of the kick-off for the third-annual Hour of Code campaign, Code.org has recently unveiled a Star Wars-themed computer science tutorial for students.
The tutorial features Princess Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2, Rey, and BB-8 from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Hour of Code campaign is part of the Computer Science Education Week which takes place December 7-13.
Using the computer science tutorial from Code.org, students will learn to write code to create fun challenges and games with Star Wars characters. The games can be played on smartphones and shared with friends …

‘Star Wars’: Force For Change Coming to ‘Star Wars’ Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This year Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will includes Star Wars: Force For Change.
Each weekend during the event guests will have a chance to purchase T-shirts for adults (men and women’s size) and kids that feature a Stormtrooper from the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Twenty-five percent of the retail price of the tees will be donated to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF in support of UNICEF Kid Power. This program uses the world’s first “Wearable-For-Good” wristband to help youth get active.

Star Wars: Force For Change has announced its latest charitable campaign.
The initiative from Disney and Lucasfilm has teamed with eBay Giving Works to auction off a selection of plaster Stormtrooper helmet replicas that have been decorated by artists around the world.

‘Star Wars’: Force for Change Raises $4.26 Million for UNICEF

The Star Wars: Force for Change initiative has raised $4.26 million for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The unique fundraising initiative was launched earlier this summer and gave donors a chance to give money to UNICEF and win a grand prize visit to the Star Wars: Episode VII set.
The money raised by Star Wars: Force for Change came from citizens of 125 countries and is enough to support seven or eight new UNICEF Innovation Labs.
D.C. Barns of Denver, Colorado was the grand prize winner and will receive a trip to …
