Fantasy Faire Opening March 12 at Disneyland Park

New details about Disneyland’s Fantasy Faire have been revealed, including the official opening date: March 12, 2013 to be exact!
One of the biggest features of Fantasy Faire will be the Royal Theatre. At the theatre, two Renaissance Storytellers – Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones – will treat visitors to two unique stories based on Beauty and the Beast and Tangled. 
The storytellers will present each tale with the help of a few local villagers while Sir Samuel of Morocco will provide musical accompaniment. Belle, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider  will even appear on stage to …

Annie Leibovitz’s Latest Disney Portrait Features Taylor Swift as Rapunzel

In celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz’s latest Disney Dream Portrait, country crooner Taylor Swift poses as Rapunzel from Disney’s film Tangled.
Dressed in a flowing pink and purple gown with her trademark long locks, Swift looks exactly like the Disney version of the captivating princess. Swift joins a long line of celebrities who have posed for Leibovitz’s Disney Dream Portrait Series, including Russell Brand as “Captain Hook” and Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segel as the Hitchhiking Ghosts from Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction.

Star Sighting: Mandy Moore Poses with Rapunzel at Disneyland Resort

Last week, Tangled star Mandy Moore stopped by the Disneyland Resort for a meet-and-greet with Rapunzel.
After posing for a photo, the singer/actress said she was looking forward to seeing Disneyland Resort decked out in its Halloween Time decor, and was really eager to check out Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure.
Of course, no visit would be complete without a ride on Space Mountain – according to Moore, that is her favorite attraction.

Veteran Animator Glen Keane to Leave Walt Disney Animation Studios

What do such legendary Disney characters as Ariel, the Beast, Pocahontas, Aladdin, and Tarzan have in common? They were all brought to life by Disney animator Glen Keane. For the past 38 years, Glen Keane has become one of the most prolific and talented animators at Walt Disney Animation Studios, creating many of the famous Disney characters that have gone on to become cultural icons. Walt Disney Records to Release Spanish Language Versions of Popular Titles

In order to better serve their Hispanic audience, Walt Disney Records will be releasing five Spanish language albums of some of their popular titles, including the digital soundtracks to Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. Additionally, the company will be releasing two Song & Story titles and a collection of Disney Princess songs.

Alan Menken and Glenn Slater Win Grammy for ‘Tangled’ Song ‘I See the Light’

Disney’s hit animated film Tangled was recognized at the 2012 Grammy Awards last night, when Alan Menken and Glenn Slater won the Grammy Award for “Best Song Written for Visual Media.” The award recognized their work on the Tangled song “I See the Light.”

Romantic Surprises in Store for Disney’s ‘The Magic, The Memories and You!’

Disneyland park’s The Magic, The Memories, and You! nighttime spectacular will be featuring a special segment to debut February 1, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Inspired by some of the most romantic moments in Disney animation, Cinderella’s Castle and it’s a small world will be covered in roses during one sequence, while transforming into a star-filled sky during another segment of the show. Additionally, stained glass windows will appear on the facades of the attractions depicting Belle, Cinderella and Snow White’s romantic stories.

Watch an Exclusive Clip of ‘Tangled Ever After’ Short

Beauty and the Beast in 3D will debut in theaters January 13, and guests who go to a showing will be treated to Tangled Ever After, an epilogue to the Disney film Tangled. This short will preview before Beauty and the Beast, and you can watch the exclusive clip below to see what’s in store for Rapunzel and Flynn.

New ‘Tangled Ever After’ Short to Debut in Front of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in 3D

We recently let you know about the upcoming return of Beauty and the Beast to movie theaters. The film will be released in 3D in January 2012, and this week, Disney announced that audiences will be treated to an appearance by another favorite Disney princess at screenings of the film. Preceding each screening of Beauty and the Beast in 3D will be a brand new animated short featuring some of our favorite characters from the film Tangled.

Rapunzel Officially Becomes 10th Disney Princess in London Ceremony

Rapunzel was officially recognized by Disney as a Disney Princess today, in a ceremony held at Kensington Palace in London, England. Little princesses came from across the globe to witness the Tangled star become the 10th Disney Princess, joining the elite group that includes Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White and Tiana.
