‘Indiana Jones’ Returns to Theaters in 2019

Indiana Jones is returning to the big screen in 2019!
The Walt Disney Studios made the announcement this week that a new Indiana Jones film will be released in two years. And, Harrison Ford is returning in the iconic role.
The as-yet-unnamed film will be released on July 19, 2019.
Steven Spielberg – the director of the four previous Indiana Jones films – will direct the new film. Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will also return.

The Walt Disney Studios Reaches $7 Billion Global Box Office

The Walt Disney Studios reached the $7 billion mark at the global box office today, thanks in part to the record opening weekend of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The $7 billion threshold is a new industry record.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story made $290 million in its global debut last weekend. The Studios earned $2.7 billion domestically and nearly $4.3 billion internationally, which is a record for Disney.

The Walt Disney Studios Set New International Box Office Record

The Walt Disney Studios has set a new international box office record, in turn breaking its own record from 2015.
So far in 2016 The Studios has made $3.566 billion. In July of this year the Studios set a new industry record when it reached $3 billion at the international box office. In 2015, Disney made $3.565 billion at the box office worldwide.

‘Finding Dory’ Crosses $1 Billion Mark at Global Box Office

Pixar’s Finding Dory has crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office, making it the fifth biggest animated film of all time globally.
The film is also Pixar’s second billion dollar release along with Toy Story 3.
Finding Dory debuted in the US on June 17 and earned $135 million in its debut – which is the biggest debut ever for for an animated film.
The movie is also the No. 1 domestic film of 2016 and the seventh-highest grossing film of all time.

Catch a Sneak Peek of ‘Moana’ at Disney California Adventure Starting October 14

Guests at Disney California Adventure have a chance to catch an extended sneak preview of Moana beginning October 14.
The preview will be shown at the Bug’s Life Theater in Disney California Adventure, and will be presented in 3D with special in-theater effects.
Moana tells the story of “an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli‘i Cravalho) meets the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.”

The Walt Disney Studios Announces Reimagining of ‘The Lion King’ with Director Jon Favreau

The Walt Disney Studios has announced that the classic film The Lion King will be reimagined in a new project from director Jon Favreau.
The hit film The Jungle Book – also a live-action reimagining by Favreau – earned $965.8 million worldwide. A sequel to The Jungle Book is in development.
The Lion King will include songs from the animated film – much like the 2017 live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson as Belle.

Walt Disney Studios Announces New Slate of Live-Action Films

The Walt Disney Studios has announced a new slate of live-action films, including new versions of Disney classics.
This spring fans are eagerly awaiting Alice Through the Looking Glass, and next March the live-action Beauty and the Beast arrives in theaters. A live-action Pete’s Dragon flies into theaters on August 12 this year.
A few of the new films in development include Cruella with Emma Stone in the title role, A Wrinkle in Time, Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson, and Dumbo directed by Tim Burton.

Fifth ‘Indiana Jones’ Film to Arrive in Theaters on July 29, 2019

Indiana Jones is returning to the big screen!
Disney made the official announcement this week – a fifth Indiana Jones film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 29, 2019.

The Walt Disney Studios Changes Release Date for ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’

We’re going to have to wait a little bit longer to see the next Star Wars movie.
The Walt Disney Studios has announced that the release date for Star Wars: Episode VIII has been pushed back to December 15, 2017. The film was slated for a May 26, 2017 release.
