Toy Story Hotel Announced for Tokyo Disney Resort

A new Toy Story-themed hotel has been announced for the Tokyo Disney Resort.
The hotel was announced by the Oriental Land Co. Ltd., and will open to guests in the fiscal year 2021 (which runs from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022).
The Toy Story hotel will feature 600 rooms and “everything will look like it is made of toys.” And, guests rooms will look like Andy’s bedroom from the films.
In addition to the as-yet-unnamed hotel, Oriental Land is also building a Fantasyland expansion at Tokyo Disneyland (expected in 2020), and …

Tokyo Disney’s 35th Anniversary Celebration Features New Entertainment

Tokyo Disney is celebrating its 35th anniversary with new entertainment options for guests.
The Dreaming Up! daytime parade and the Happiest Celebration on the Sea both premiered in April on the park’s anniversary and two new stage shows and a new nighttime show are also included in the celebration.
The daytime stage show Let’s Party Gras! takes place daily at Theatre Orleans in Tokyo Disneyland. The show features Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Goofy, Max, Clarice, and the Three Caballeros.

Tokyo Disney Resort Celebrating Disney’s Easter

Guests at Tokoy Disney Resort can be part of celebrating Disney’s Easter at Tokyo DisneySea.
This springtime celebration includes colorful decorations, merchandise, special foods, and a sneak peek at a new song for the 35th anniversary of Tokyo Disney.
Tokyo DisneySea is also hosting an egg hunt for the first time this year and guests who find the eggs will receive a Disney hair clip.
During the celebration Mickey and Minnie and friends are performing in the Fashionable Easter show which celebrates the return of spring.

Tokyo Disney Planning Special Events and More

If you’re making plans to visit Tokyo Disney soon, there are several exciting events and other additions happening this year.
On July 11, the Disney Pirates Summer kicks off at Tokyo DisneySea. This event is inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean films and including a new show – Pirates Summer Battle ‘Get Wet!’ – at Mediterranean Harbor, in addition to merchandise, food, and a Pirates Cantina Fiesta.
Duffy’s new friend StellaLou debuted last month and this summer she’s starring in the ‘Steps to Shine’ show at the American Waterfront.

Tokyo DisneySea Celebrating 15th Anniversary

Tokyo DisneySea is celebrating its 15th anniversary – the crystal anniversary – this year with an almost year-long celebration.
DisneySea is the only Disney Park themed to the sea and the anniversary celebration is ‘Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary: The Year of Wishes.’
The celebration begins on April 15 with a new fireworks show and two other new shows.
‘Crystal Wishes Journey’ takes places at the Mediterranean Harbor and features Disney characters and their wishes.

Tokyo Disney Resort Celebrates the Holidays with Christmas Fantasy Event and More

Tokyo Disney Resort is celebrating the holiday season with new holiday-themed shows at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
The Christmas Fantasy event at Tokyo Disneyland features a Christmas Storybook theme with a new parade, pop-up storybook decorations, and Disney characters.
At Tokyo DisneySea guests can enjoy the Christmas Wishes even featuring a new program, A Perfect Christmas, featuring Disney characters. And, Mickey Mouse and his pals are lighting the Christmas tree in the center of Mediterranean Harbor during the Colors of Christmas nighttime event.

Tokyo Disney Resort Celebrating Winter with ‘Frozen’ and Duffy the Disney Bear

It’s time to start thinking about winter at the Tokyo Disney Resort.
Tokyo Disneyland is set to celebrate the season with Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Fantasy when the show returns to the theme park on January 12. It will run through March 18 and also includes the Frozen Fantasy Parade with Kristoff, Hans, and the Trolls.
The Tokyo Disneyland castle will come to life with Anna and Elsa’s Winter Greeting. The nighttime events includes the Once Upon a Time: Special Winter Edition which features scenes from Frozen in Japanese.

New ‘Finding Nemo’-Themed Attraction Coming to Tokyo DisneySea in 2017

The Oriental Land Company and Disney have announced a new Finding Nemo attraction is coming to Tokyo DisneySea in 2017.
The new attraction will be based on the Disney/Pixar hit Finding Nemo and its 2016 sequel Finding Dory.
On the attraction guests will board a submarine that “shrinks” to fish size. The ride will use a system that blends visuals from the films with motion.
The attraction is an underwater experience that will allow guests to view the ocean floor just like Nemo and friends do. Characters from both films will also be …

Updates and Refurbishments Announced for Tokyo Disney Resort

There are some major changes on the horizon for the theme parks at Tokyo Disney Resort.
Oriental Land Co., Ltd., announced the planned improvements this week and they include new themed areas in Tokyo Disneyland and a Frozen themed port for Tokyo DisneySea.
The Fantasyland redevelopment at Tokyo Disneyland will feature two news areas themed after Beauty and the Beast and Alice in Wonderland. The areas will feature new attractions, restaurants, and merchandise locations as part of the “overall redevelopment.”

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Debuts at Tokyo Disney Resort

Walt Disney’s first animated star – Oswald the Lucky Rabbit – has found a new home at Tokyo Disney Resort.
As the story goes, throughout the years this Lucky Rabbit has traveled the world and held many different job titles including trolley conductor and lifeguard.
But now, Oswald has arrived at Tokyo DisneySea where he’s playing the role of a farmer in the Cape Cod section of the American Waterfront. He is greeting guests at his produce stand that is stocked with eggs and flowers for the season.
