D23 Expo to Feature Screenings and Q&A Sessions for ‘Prep and Landing,’ ‘Once Upon a Time’

In their latest announcement of what’s in store for Disney fans at the upcoming D23 Expo, Disney has announced that Expo attendees will be able to get a sneak peek at some upcoming ABC programs. The Expo will feature screenings and Q&A sessions for the highly anticipated new ABC series Once Upon a Time and the holiday special Prep and Landing: Naughty vs. Nice.

‘Tron: Uprising’ Trailer Debuts

This year’s Comic-Con 2011 brought the release of the newest trailer for the upcoming Disney XD series Tron: Uprising. The animated series will take place between the events of Tron and Tron: Legacy, and will feature the voice talents of Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens, Lance Henriksen, and Bruce Boxleitner. David DiGilio to Write Screenplay for ‘Tron: Legacy’ Sequel

Disney has hired David DiGilio to pen the sequel to a sequel, as the writer will create the next installment in the Tron series.
While the sci-fi thriller opened to a less than stellar response, earning only $44 million in the first weekend of its release, it managed to pull in $400 million worldwide during its theatrical run, and additional revenue with sales of DVDs and Blu rays.

Disney XD Launching Several New Shows

With the recent announcement of Disney XD’s cancellation of I’m in the Band, as well as the uncertain future of Zeke and Luther, fans will need to look forward to some of the new shows that are in the pipeline for Disney Channel’s sister station.
First up, Kickin It, which will premiere in June, stars Jason Earles (of Hannah Montana) as the owner of a martial arts academy. Next year, Motorcity debuts. The animated show depicts a futuristic version of Detroit, where cars and other basics have been banned. Mark Hamill …

Europe’s LOVEFiLM Subscription Service Will Now Stream Disney Movies

In a deal signed by LOVEFiLM and The Walt Disney Company U.K. & Ireland, LOVEFiLM will now stream Disney movies via its Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) and Transactional Video On Demand (TVOD) service.
This is exciting news for European customers who subscribe to LOVEFiLM, which is Europe’s largest subscription service. Per the deal that was signed, customers can choose from a range of Disney titles to watch instantly via their PC, in-home connected devices, or their PlayStation 3 console.

As we all anxiously await the arrival of “TRON:  Legacy” in theaters later this month, one question does come to mind:  what in the world happened during the time of the original film and the latest one?  After all, a lot has changed in our world in 28 years.  What about the world of TRON?

New Tron Pins to Mark the Opening of ‘Tron: Legacy’

Check out these cool new pins that Disney has created to commemorate the “Tron:  Legacy,” which opens in theatres Friday, December 17! 
If you haven’t been to Epcot lately, you may not know about the Tron-orail – Disney’s monorail makeover featuring Tron art that’s cooler than cool as it whizzes around Epcot – but there’s a pin to celebrate it!  And I just love Mickey, all decked out in neon.
