New Merchandise for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Coming to Disney Parks for Star Wars: Force For Change

The Disney Parks have once again partnered with Lucasfilm to sell specially designed products to support the Star Wars: Force For Change initiative that supports the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
Force for Change “harnesses the strength of Star Wars to empower and improve the lives of children around the world.”
New items are arriving this spring at the Disney Parks in support of the initiative.
The merchandise includes T-shirts for adults and kids, plus a pin featuring the logo and characters from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

‘Star Wars’: Force for Change Raises $4.26 Million for UNICEF

The Star Wars: Force for Change initiative has raised $4.26 million for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The unique fundraising initiative was launched earlier this summer and gave donors a chance to give money to UNICEF and win a grand prize visit to the Star Wars: Episode VII set.
The money raised by Star Wars: Force for Change came from citizens of 125 countries and is enough to support seven or eight new UNICEF Innovation Labs.

‘Star Wars’ Fans Have a Chance to be In ‘Star Wars Episode VII’ through Force For Change Campaign

If you have ever wanted to be part of the cast of a Star Wars movie, now might be your chance.
Star Wars Episode VII director J.J. Abrams recently announced the creation of Star Wars: Force for Change, a brand new initiative from Disney and Lucasfilm in collaboration with Bad Robot that is dedicated to finding creative solutions to some of the world’s problems.

Disney Parks Presenting an ‘it’s a small world’ Google+ Hangout with Disney Legend Richard Sherman

The 50th anniversary celebration of ‘it’s a small world’ just got a little more magical.
Disney Parks has announced that on April 10 at 1 p.m. PT they’ll be hosting a Google+ Hangout On Air event with Disney Legend Richard Sherman.
The event will be live from Disneyland and fans have a chance to appear in the hangout by tweeting their questions to @Disneyland with the hashtag #SmallWorldHangout.

Penelope Cruz Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Disney’s newest – and perhaps one of its prettiest – pirate celebrated a major career milestone recently.  Last Friday, Penelope Cruz, who will play swashbuckling Angelica in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean:  On Stranger Tides, received her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, honoring her many accomplishments as an actress. Selena Gomez Performs UNICEF Benefit Concert Unplugged

Selena Gomez, star of Disney Channel’s The Wizards of Waverly Place, celebrated the anniversary of UNICEF’s Trick-or-Treat Campaign last night by performing a private acoustic concert.   The show took place at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood and benefited the popular program, which turns sixty this year. 
Eighteen year-old Gomez was appointed the youngest UNICEF ambassador in the United States in 2009.  This year marks her third consecutive year as the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF National Spokesperson.
