Following the success of the uber popular La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion, Epcot has announced that an Italian-themed wine bar will be coming to the park later this year.
As part of the current renovation to the Italy Pavilion’s table service restaurant, Tutto Italia, Gusto Wine Bar will open April 28. The brand new space will be adjacent to the restaurant, and will feature a look and feel reminiscent of an ancient Italian wine cellar, complete with stone floors and walls, with bricked arches throughout the space. The sentence was vague and fleeting, like the glow from a light that shines for a moment, and then vanishes. That it lacked an attribution as to source made it even more indefinite. It was exactly what it purported to be, a rumor, yet even the mere possibility sent my heart racing.

On Saturday, January 14, Uma Thurman was spotted at Walt Disney World snapping a photo with Donald Duck.
While visiting the Magic Kingdom, Thurman posed for photographs in a 1900’s-inspired fire engine and seemed to be having a great time. The actress can next be seen in March’s Bel Ami, as well as in a multi-episode arc of NBC’s upcoming show Smash starring Katharine McPhee.

In plans that were revealed Tuesday, the White House has announced that President Barack Obama will be paying a visit to Walt Disney World later today. The president is expected to reveal policies that will give U.S. tourism a boost.
Central to the president’s message will be the push for visa reform, especially for countries like Brazil and China. The process for obtaining visas to visit the U.S. from both countries is arduous, and require in-person interviews and several days’ wait to gain permission to travel here.

Walt Disney World’s Epcot is gearing up for its annual International Flower and Garden Festival this spring, and more details are being announced for those who will be at the park to enjoy the festivities. For the first time in the Walt Disney World Moms Panel 5-year history, panelists will now be able to receive and answer guests’ questions in both English and Spanish, making it easier than ever for guests to plan their Walt Disney World vacations. It was an exciting finish at this morning’s Walt Disney World Marathon, in which Brazil’s Fredison Costa narrowly edged out his fellow Brazilian, Adriano Bastos, to win the race for the second consecutive year.
Bastos was favored to finish the event first, but came in second to Costa by a sliver of 14 seconds. Bastos has enjoyed the title of champion seven times in previous years. Costa’s winning time was 2:19:01, while the field’s leading female finisher, Renee High of Virginia Beach, Virginia, turned in a time of 2:48:33.

Happy New Year! Disney ushered in 2012 last night with a special announcement of what park guests can look forward to this February. To celebrate Leap Day 2012, Disney will hold “One More Disney Day” and keep the parks open for 24 hours straight.
From 6:00 AM on February 29, 2012 to 6:00 AM March 1, 2012, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park will be open for park guests to celebrate their extra Disney day. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Tom Staggs says about the new announcement:

There are several new items coming to Disney Parks this year, which will allow visitors to ring in the New Year in style. One of the items is the clock-inspired Disney Eat Hat, designed by Mark Seppala, who says that Alice in Wonderland partially inspired him to create this new ear hat.
Additionally, the clock theme carries over into the Disney Pins, with a new pin featuring Tinkerbell. Two additional Disney Pins will also be released at Disneyland and Walt Disney World to help commemorate the New Year.
