Final Spring Training Season Announced for Atlanta Braves at the ESPN Wide World of Sports

The Atlanta Braves will play their final Spring Training season at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in 2019, and the schedule of games has been announced.
The Braves’ spring training will include a total of 16 home games at Champion Stadium against teams including 2017 World Champion Houston Astros, New York Yankees, New York Mets, and St. Louis Cardinals.
The final game for the Braves at Champion Stadium will be March 23 against the Mets.

Disneyland to Eliminate Plastic Straws, Lids, and Shopping Bags Starting this Week

Disney recently announced a conservation initiative that includes eliminating single-use plastic straws, lids, and shopping bags at Disney properties worldwide.
This week at Disney World, it’s been reported that guests at table service locations are no longer receiving straws, but can still request them (kids are still being given straws).
And starting this week, Disneyland Resort will eliminate all single-use straws, lids, and plastic shopping bags from all locations on property.

Disney Parks Moms Panel Search Starts September 5

Disney has announced that the search for the 2019 Disney Parks Moms Panel opens on September 5 this year.
The Disney Parks Moms Panel is the “official digital forum for Guests to ask detailed personal questions about planning a variety of Disney Vacations,” according to the description from Disney.
Panelists are chosen based on a number of criteria including the ability to communication with Disney guests in a positive way. Panelists are chosen for specialty areas including Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, runDisney, Disney Vacation Club, and more.

Celebrations Planned Around Disney Properties for Mickey’s 90th Anniversary

Disney properties around the world will be celebrating the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse with limited-time celebrations.
At Disney World guests can celebrate Mickey’s 90th from November 16-18 with special merchandise and food, a special dance party in Tomorrowland, and more.
In 2019 the World’s Biggest Mouse Party is coming to Disney World too!
At Disneyland guests will celebrate with a “celebration cavalcade for Mickey Mouse on November 18” and then the World’s Biggest Mouse Party will also happen in 2019.

Check Out the New Play Disney Parks App Coming this Summer

The new Play Disney Parks app is coming this summer and Disney is giving guests a sneak preview of the app.
The app is currently available for pre-order at the App Store and Google Play.
According to Disney, the app “will allow guests to play with family and friends while waiting in line for some favorite attractions.” The app includes activities that interact with certain queues and games.

Disney World Launches New Lost and Found Online Feature for Guests

If you’ve ever lost anything at Disney World you know how frustrating it can be to try and find the lost item.
Now, Disney has launched a new online tool to help guests find their lost item.
If you lose something at Disney World theme parks,water parks, Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports, or on Disney transportation you can now visit DisneyWorld.com/lostandfound.
Guests can put in their information about the lost item and Disney cast members will begin searching for it. Disney will send updates to guest emails letting them know the status …

Night of Joy Will Not Return to Disney World

Night of Joy, the popular Christian music event held at the Walt Disney World Resort since 1983, will not be returning to Disney.
The event was held at the Magic Kingdom for many years, and also spent two years at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
For the past two years Night of Joy was held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, but the second night of the event was cancelled last year due to Hurricane Irma.

D23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse Announced for November 17-18 at Disney World

D23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse is scheduled for November 17 and 18 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort.
The event is described at the “the ultimate birthday celebration honoring 90 years of the mouse that started it all!.”
Destination D is open to D23 Gold Members and their families.
Tickets are $215 per person (plus $7 processing fee), and tickets will go on sale on Thursday, April 12, at 11 a.m. PT. (2 p.m. ET). There are also Mouseketeer VIP Level: $1,300 per person (plus $7 processing fee) …

Millennial Pink Ears and Spirit Jersey Coming to the Disney Parks

If you’re looking for an alternative to those ubiquitous Rose Gold Minnie Ears, there’s a new color headed to the Disney Parks.
Millennial Pink ears arrive at the World of Disney at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney Distric on April 1 (no joke).
The ears will eventually be available at more locations in Disney World and Disneyland by mid-April.

Pick Your Favorite Walt Disney World Attraction in the 2018 March Magic Brackets

March Magic is back!
It’s time once again to pick your favorite Walt Disney World attractions in the annual March Magic online fan vote.
Voting takes place March 20 through April 2 via the Walt Disney World Resort Facebook page.
The 2017 champs, the Tomorrowland Movers, will defend their title against seven new teams including the World Showcase Explorers, Dr. Marsh’s Iguanodons, and Statler and Waldorf Hecklers.
