This year, Disneyland Paris will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, and some exciting new shows will arrive at the park as part of the celebration. The two nighttime shows, Disney Dreams and Disney Magic on Parade, will debut in April as the park marks its 20th year of operation.

Yesterday marked an exciting milestone for the Disneyland Resort, when their newest nighttime spectacular, World of Color, celebrated its 1,000th performance. The exciting show uses water, color, light, animation, and music to create a “living Fantasia,” and has been delighting guests nightly since June 2010 at Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland Resort is gearing up for the holiday season, with official celebrations beginning November 14. This year, a few new additions have been included as well as the return of many guest favorites.

Disneyland Resort’s second park, California Adventure, opened ten years ago this week – to lackluster reviews and lukewarm attendance. It rained for weeks. And then 9/11 happened, and a nation was plunged into fear and mourning.

We first told you about the special ticket for California residents that Disney was offering a couple of days ago. Although the price has increased over last year’s “slow season” deal, there’s a little more flexibility with the new ticket. Today, another little detail came to light, via the Disney Parks Blog. The deal is truly a Southern California deal – meaning it’s only available to folks with Southern Cali zips (90000-93599) or North Baja Cali zips (21000-22999.) The “World of Color” fountains are now getting a workout during the day. Over the holiday weekend, Disney California Adventure officially debuted its new show, “Disney Channel Rocks.”
The seventeen-minute show incorporates songs from some of Disney’s most popular tween- and teen-focused works, past and present, including ”Camp Rock,” and ”High School Musical.” Also in the show are songs from the TV shows “Shake It Up,” as well as “Hannah Montana,” and “Jonas Brothers.”

Beginning November 26, Disneyland Resort guests who would like to view World of Color without the fuss of fighting the crowds will have a new option. Dinner packages for World of Color have been so popular that the resort is now offering a lunch package.
The prix fixe package allows guests to reserve a spot for viewing the popular nighttime water spectacular by booking a table at one of their favorite restaurants.

Guests and Visitors to Disneyland Resort have been amazed and delighted with the new “World of Color,” attraction, and now the unique show has won its first prestigious award.
On Tuesday, the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) announced that “World of Color” had captured this year’s THEA award for Outstanding Achievement – Nighttime Spectacular. In a ceremony held during the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attraction’s (IAAPA) annual conference, TEA described the display as “a visual and technical marvel.” In all, Disney has won 34 coveted Thea Awards over the span of 17 …
