World Showcase to Feature Musical Acts During Epcot Food and Wine Festival

The 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival starts tomorrow – August 31 – and guests can enjoy food, drink, and even special entertainment throughout World Showcase.
A new band – Suroît – will take the stage in the Canada Pavilion from August 31 through October 1, performing a mix of Cajun, Celtic, bluegrass and rock music.
Bodh’aktan will perform their mix of Quebecois, folk, and polka in the Canada Pavilion from October 2-22.
Margret Almer & The Bavarian Band will be performing in the Germany Pavilion throughout the Festival and into the holiday …

runDisney Gives Preview of Wine & Dine Half Marathon Finisher Medals

runDisney has released a preview of the new finisher medals for this year’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend races.
The finisher medals feature travel-themed designs including luggage tags, plane tickets, and passports. The designs were inspired by the Epcot Food & Wine Festival.
The 5K for the race weekend is the Disney Fall Feast 5K and the finisher medal celebrates the harvest season.
The Disney Wine & Dine 10K finisher medal features a decorative luggage tag, while runners who finish the half marathon will earn a finisher medal that resembles a plane …

Epcot’s Canada Pavilion Receives Two New Totem Poles

Epcot’s Canada Pavilion recently had two new totem poles installed.
The new totems were created by Tsimshian artisan David Boxley who had created a totem pole for the Trading Post in the 1990s.

New ‘Frozen’ Merchandise Available in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion

The recent opening of Frozen Ever After in Epcot’s Norway pavilion also means there is a new slate of Frozen merchandise available for guests.
The Puffin’s Roost – which is also the “exit” for Frozen Ever After – features Norwegian products and an entire section devoted to all things Frozen.
Here guests will find products inspired by the Summer Snow Day Celebration and Troll Valley – both part of the new attraction. Products include apparel, home goods, artwork, ornaments, and more.

2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Details and News

We’re getting closer to the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival (just 79 days!) and we have a lot of exciting news to share with you!
This year’s Festival will feature several new Marketplace Booths including The Chew Collective, Chocolate Studio, and the Wine & Dine Studio. After a hiatus the Island of the Caribbean is making a return to the Festival.

New Culinary Demos, Menu Items, and More for the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

The 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival will kick off September 14 and run for a record 62 days through November 14, and we have some exciting news about what guests can expect at this year’s event.
Three marketplace booths are returning for sure – Greece, Farm Fresh, and Desserts & Champagne.
Guests can enjoy hard soda floats at the Desserts & Champagne booth, while a new vegan dish is coming to Greece, and Farm Fresh is gearing up to showcase Florida’s bounty once again with some savory dishes.

Holidays Around the World Returns to Epcot on November 27

In just over a month Holidays Around the World will once again be celebrated in World Showcase at Epcot.
The 2015 holiday season will include learning about the customs of Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, listening to Pere Noel in France, and more.
New for this year are musical performances by American Music Machine, a five-member a cappella group. The group will be performing modern and “nostalgic” holiday songs including White Christmas, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and All I Want for Christmas is You.

Eat to the Beat Concert Lineup Announced for 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

The 2015 Eat to the Beat concert lineup has been announced and several new names made the list.
Fan favorites including Hanson, Wilson Phillips, and the Pointer Sisters are returning again this year and they’ll be joined by new acts including Everclear, Maxi Priest, and Tiffany.

New Entertainment Experiences Debut in Epcot’s World Showcase Pavilions

Late last year Disney announced the departure of several popular entertainment experiences from Epcot including Mo’Rockin’ and Off Kilter.
And now as the spring season gets underway at Epcot a new slate of acts is being introduced throughout World Showcase.
In Italy guests can enjoy the Sbandieratori Di Sansepolcro flag throwing team which showcases a 500-year Italian tradition, and in the United Kingdom you’ll be treated to the acoustic sounds of the Paul McKenna Band, a traditional four-piece band from Galsgow, Scotland.

Walt Disney World Planning to Build New ‘Frozen’ Meet-and-Greet in Norway Pavilion

A new construction project is reportedly in the works at Epcot’s World Showcase, but it isn’t for a new country pavilion. At least not a real country.
According to documents filed with the South Florida Water Management District, Disney is planning to build the ‘Epcot Frozen Meet and Greet” in a 13,000 square foot building located between the Mexico and Norway pavilions.
This new building will reportedly be the spot for guests to meet Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and other characters from Frozen. Currently guests can only meet Anna and Elsa at the …
