Walt Disney Animation Studios Announces ‘Wreck-It Ralph 2’

Walt Disney Animation Studios has announced that Wreck-It Ralph 2 is coming to theaters in March 2018.
The announcement was made during a Facebook Live Video with help from John C. Reilly, the voice of Ralph.
The storyline of the film is that Wreck-It Ralph escapes the video game world where he lives and ends up breaking the internet.
The film is directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston. In addition to Reilly reprising his role as Ralph, Sarah Silverman is also returning to voice Vanellope Von Schweetz.

Disney Cruise Line Announces New Enhancements for the Disney Dream

Disney Cruise Line has announced new enhancements coming to the Disney Dream this fall.
The enhancements include two new interactive youth areas – one with a Star Wars theme and the other with a Disney Infinity theme. The popular Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is also coming to the Dream.
The new Star Wars-themed area in the Oceaneer Club – Star Wars: Millennium Falcon – includes a play area inspired by the ship from the Star Wars films. Guests (ages 3-12 only) will join the Rebel Alliance upon entering the area and will assist …

Disneynature’s ‘Bears’ Roars Into Theaters Just in Time for Earth Day 2014

The latest Disneynature film, Bears, is now open in theaters nationwide just in time for Tuesday’s Earth Day celebration.
The film follows in the cinematic footsteps of other Disneynature films including Oceans, African Cats, and Chimpanzee.
Bears is narrated by John C. Reilly (Wreck-It-Ralph) and follows a bear family for one year as two young cubs (Scout and Amber) learn how to survive in the rugged wilderness of Alaska with their mother, Sky.
The film is co-directed by Keith Scholey, a British zoologist and wildlife photographer who also co-directed African Cats for Disneynature.

The Walt Disney Company and Subway Restaurants Collaborate for Release of ‘Monsters University’ and ‘The Lone Ranger’

This summer Disney is once again collaborating with SUBWAY restaurants to celebrate the release of two highly-anticipated summer movies – Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University and Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ The Lone Ranger.
SUBWAY is the “Official Training Restaurant for Monsters Everywhere” and throughout the month of June monsters will be making cameo appearances in commercials for the restaurants, and all Fresh Fit For Kids meals will come in a Monsters University reusable backpack. London Street Gets an 8-Bit Makeover as Promo for ‘Wreck-It Ralph’

Haven’t you always wanted to live in a video game – at least for a little while? This past weekend, those living near and visiting Brick Lane in London were able to imagine themselves doing just that, as the city street was transformed into an 8-bit paradise complete with pixelated pigeons, a taxi, clouds, dogs…and even 8-bit dog poo, all created by Disney film production sculptor Aden Hynes. The retro makeover was a promo for Wreck-It Ralph, which is being released in the UK on February 8.

Walt Disney Studios Earns 17 Oscar Nominations

The Walt Disney Studios definitely has something to celebrate: the Oscar nominations were announced, and the company earned 17 nominations for their films!
Lincoln took the most nominations with 12 total, including a nomination for Best Picture. Additionally, Lincoln earned the distinction of being the most nominated film of the year. Other Disney films earned one nomination each, including Frankenweenie, Brave, Wreck-It Ralph, Paperman and The Avengers.

Disney Releasing ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Online Before DVD/Blu-Ray Release

Following in the footsteps of other leading studios, Walt Disney Studios will be releasing their first film that customers will be able to purchase online several weeks before the physical DVD/Blu-ray copies are available in stores.
Wreck-It Ralph will be available for download and on streaming services on February 12, 2013. The film will be available in HD and 3D on supported services, but the physical 4 disc 3D Blu-ray combo and 2 disc DVD/Blu-ray standard def combo won’t be available for purchase in stores until March 5, 2013.

Disney Mobile Updates Games & Announces New Launches

Disney Mobile has released a few big updates for several of their mobile games, and announced the launch of three new mobile games just in time for the holidays.
The new updates include:

40 new levels for Where’s My Perry?, which will feature Dr. Doofenshmirtz and retail for $0.99. Additionally, Disney has released 20 new levels that are free to download.
A new character, King Fergus, added to Temple Run: Brave. The unlockable character will cost 500,000 in-game coins.
A new mini-game for Wreck-It-Ralph dubbed “Turbo Time.”
The second episode for Avengers Initiative, which features Captain America.

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Grosses a Record-Setting $49.1 Million in Opening Weekend

This weekend marked the theatrical debut of Wreck-It Ralph, and its box office reception will certainly give Walt Disney Animation Studios a reason to celebrate. In its opening weekend, Wreck-It Ralph took in $49.1 million at the domestic box office, which is the top weekend debut for a film from Disney Animation Studios.
The film’s weekend grosses beat out those for Tangled, which had an opening weekend gross of $48.8 million when it opened over Thanksgiving weekend in 2010. Wreck-It Ralph tells the story of Ralph, a video game character who gets …
