The Atlanta Braves Report to Spring Training at the Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

bravesIt’s that time of year again – spring training time at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Atlanta Braves pitchers and catchers started their pre-season workouts on Valentine’s Day this year and the full team is reporting today, February 18. This year is the 17th year of Braves Spring Training at the complex.

The first spring training games start February 26 when the Braves play the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers return to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for two more games on March 2 and March 21.

The lineup for the spring training games will feature some of the marquee teams from Major League Baseball including the World Champion Boston Red Sox, and the National League champs the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cardinals face the Braves on March 15 and the Red Sox are set to play the Braves on March 22.

This spring the Braves will play three night games at Champion Stadium – on February 28 and March 24 they’ll face the Houston Astros and on March 6 they’ll play the Washington Nationals.

The Braves finish their spring training schedule with a home game against the Miami Marlins on March 26.

  • Wednesday, March 12 Washington Nationals 1:05 p.m.
  • Friday, March 14 Tampa Bay Rays 1:05 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 15 St. Louis Cardinals 1:05 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 19 New York Yankees 1:05 p.m.
  • Friday, March 21 Detroit Tigers 1:05 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 22 Boston Red Sox 1:05 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 23 New York Mets 1:05 p.m.
  • Monday, March 24 Houston Astros 6:05 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 26 Miami Marlins 1:05 p.m.

All of the Braves’ spring training home games will be played at Champion Stadium at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Ticket information is available at www.espnwwos.com/atlantabraves. Ticket mini packs are on sale and include four separate three-game options this year and gives fans the chance to purchase tickets to specific 2014 spring training games.
