The Week in Disney News: Another New Restaurant for Disney Springs, Narrators Announced for Candlelight Processional, and More!

tortuga tavern bbqWe’re halfway through October which means the winter holiday season is getting closer! And we have some news this week about the annual Candlelight Processional at Epcot.

The full list of narrators has been announced for the Candlelight Processional and they include Gary Sinise, Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, and Amy Grant. The Candlelight Processional is performed three times each night from November 27 through December 30.

Another restaurant at the Magic Kingdom has updated its menu! The seasonally-open Tortuga Tavern debuted a new barbecue themed menu last week. Guests looking for the Mexican fare the used to be on the menu can visit Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe for Tex-Mex!

A new entertainment spot is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and its called Sunset Showcase. The new venue will host different entertainment options through the year and the first is Club Disney! Guests can dance to Radio Disney hits and even recharge their electronic devices.

Disney Springs is getting another new eatery next summer. Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine from celebrity Chef Art Smith is described as a “rustic-chic” restaurant and the menu will reportedly features items inspired by the farm-to-fork cooking that Chef Smith is famous for.

And while Duffy the Disney Bear isn’t meeting guests anymore his best friend ShellieMay is coming to the Disney Parks – but just in merchandise form! Look for all-new plush toys and more this falls at merchandise locations throughout the parks.
