The Week in Disney News: Closures at Caribbean Beach Resort, DCL 2018 Sailings, and More

cbr banana cabanaWhat a week it’s been! We’re closing out February with major news from Caribbean Beach Resort, menus for the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, and summer 2018 sailings on Disney Cruise Line.

We found out this week that the restaurants – and pool bar! – at Caribbean Beach Resort are closing for refurbishment on May 1. The Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters, and Banana Cabana Pool Bar will be affected.

Guests will have alternative options for dining in Centertown, three island markets, and a new quick service in Trinidad.

Disney Cruise Line announced its summer 2018 sailing itineraries for Europe, the Mediterranean, and Alaska.

The menus were announced for the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival which kicks off March 10. Our friends at the Disney Food Blog have all the Festival details. Also on the West Coast, the menu was announced for the temporary Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland, and the theme of the Disneyland Half Marathon is Pixar!

Back at Walt Disney World, the menu was announced for the Bon Voyage Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno, a new ‘Celebration at the Top’ is coming to California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort,  and BB-8 is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this spring.
