The Week in Disney News: Free Dining Announced, D23 Expo News, and More

dehfhdHappy last day of April! It’s been a busy week of Disney news so let’s dive right in.

We started the week with the highly anticipated announcement of the 2017 Disney World Free Dining Offer.

The free dining offer gives guests at most Walt Disney World Resort a FREE Disney Dining Plan with a minimum 3-night stay at at WDW hotel and a minimum 2-day Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus ticket.

The 2017 D23 Expo is July 14-16 this year and we found out additional details about the lineup of presentations at the Expo. On July 15 The Walt Disney Studios will present a preview of the slate of live-action films from Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. And on July 16 Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek will give a preview of what is coming to the Disney Parks and Resort.

The new Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT attraction at Disney California Adventure will feature six different scenarios with songs from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.

Star Wars: Episode IX has an official release date! Mark your calendars now for May 24, 2019. Speaking of Star Wars, the popular Star Wars Day at Sea is returning to Disney Cruise Line in 2018.
