The Week in Disney News: New DFB Guide, Celebrate Chinese New Year, and More

The Disney Food Blog is celebrating the grand launch of the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining 2016 e-book!

The e-book is an instantly downloadable PDF that features more than 530 full-color pages of photographs, information, and advice about food and dining in Walt Disney World.

The guide includes a 5-step strategy for Disney dining planning; an in-depth look at every Walt Disney World restaurant, kiosk, bar, and lounge; free downloadable worksheets for trip planing; sample itineraries; and much more.

Speaking of food and Disney World, this year is the Year of the Monkey and guests can celebrate with new menu options at Epcot’s Nine Dragons Restaurant and Disney Springs’ Morimoto Asia.

Nine Dragons is celebrating with a special prix fixe lunch menu for $17.98. This menu will be available until January 27, 2017 and it features three courses starting with spring rolls or pot stickers, three choices for entrees, and then dessert. Morimoto Asia is featuring a four-course menu on February 8.

Residents of the Super Bowl teams’ states – North Carolina, South Carolina, and Colorado – can get one free night at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel if they book two nights at the rack rate through February 29. This deal is good for visits from now until January 31, 2017. And, residents of the winning team’s state will receive a complimentary upgrade.

Disneyland Resort is still celebrating its Diamond Anniversary and the party continues with The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60 television event on February 21.

Tokyo DisneySea is also celebrating this year! The park is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a year-long party: ‘Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary: The Year of Wishes.’ The celebration begins on April 15 with a new fireworks show and two other new shows.
