The Week in Disney News – October Merchandise Events, Pecos Bill Menu Change, and More
This week it became official – Downtown Disney was renamed Disney Springs! The shopping, dining, and entertainment complex will feature four “neighborhoods” once the project is completed – The Landing, Marketplace, West Side, and Town Center. When the area is completed in 2016 there will be more than 150 venues for dining, shopping, and entertainment.
And speaking of merchandise, don’t forget to stop by the Festival Center at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival to check out all the Festival-themed merchandise including items with the World Showcase logo, Disney characters dressed as chefs, and Brews Around the World.
Fans of the Magic Kingdom’s Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe will find a brand-new menu at the quick service spot. Gone are burgers and fries and in their place you’ll find Tex-Mex options including burritos, fajitas, and rice bowls.
If you’re headed to Disneyland to celebrate Thanksgiving, reservations are now open for dining on Turkey Day at the Disneyland Resort restaurants.
That’s the big news from last week! We’re sure this week will be full of fun and exciting news too. Stay tuned to DisZine for all the Disney news every week. And be sure to follow us on Twitter and like us over on Facebook.
