dland contestWhat a week it’s been! The week ended with a bi-coastal 24-hour party kicking off summer and the Disneyland Diamond Celebration on May 22.

With the official start of the 60th anniversary of Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth was transformed with sparkling diamonds and special merchandise!

And if a 24-hour party wasn’t big enough, the Disneyland Diamond Celebration will also feature the Disneyland Diamond Days sweepstakes. Guests will win daily prizes at Disneyland and you can even enter to win a Disneyland vacation!

Disneyland wasn’t the only park with exciting news this week. The Magic Kingdom kicked off summer with its own 24-hour party. And it was announced that fan favorite character meal Chef Mickey’s was adding a brunch service starting May 31! Reservations are open now for that meal.

As the transformation from Downtown Disney to Disney Springs continues, more retailers and restaurants were announced including Lilly Pulitzer, PANDORA, and Tommy Bahama.

And in big Disney Cruise Line news it was announced that DCL ships are returning to New York City and Galveston, Texas in 2016 for limited-time sailings!

If you spent 24 hours at the Magic Kingdom or Disneyland on Friday and Saturday we hope (1) that you had fun and (2) that you’ve taken a nap!

We hope you had a magical week and we can’t wait to see what kind of news this week brings! Stay tuned to DisZine for all the Disney news every week. And be sure to follow us on Twitter and like us over on Facebook.
