This Week in Disney News: Flower & Garden Festival, EpiPen at Disney Parks, and Gingerbread Displays

f&g 2015As the holiday celebrations are in full swing at the Disney Parks, some of us are already thinking about spring! The dates for the 2015 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival were released this week!

The Festival runs March 4 through May 17 and will include more than 100 topiaries including one inspired by Frozen. The Outdoor Kitchens are also returning to the Festival in 2015 giving guests delicious bites and sips.

This weekend was the inaugural Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon at Disneyland and in January the park will host the inaugural Star Wars Half Marathon weekend. runDisney just released a sneak peek at the medals for the event and Star Wars fans will love them.

Disney recently announced a new partnership with Mylan, the company that produces the EpiPen auto-injector and as part of the new alliance guests will have access to EpiPen in the domestic theme parks. There will also be nurses on hand at the First Aid locations to administer the EpiPens if necessary.

Our friends at the Disney Food Blog reported on the Frozen-themed gingerbread display at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! And speaking of the holidays, guests visiting Epcot will have a chance to enjoy special holiday treats at this year’s Holidays Around the World.

In other Disney dining news, when Cinderella’s Royal Table closes for refurbishment in January guests will still have a chance to dine with Cinderella and the other princesses at Citricos. The restaurant is hosting a Disney Princess breakfast and brunch for the first couple of months of 2015!
