This Week in Disney News – ‘Frozen’ Summer Fun, The Rebel Hangar, and ‘Inside Out’

harambe market at akTo start this week’s news recap we’d like to wish all of the moms out there a very Happy Mother’s Day! And now let’s look back at the week that was in Disney news.

We’re just a few days away from the start of this year’s Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the most exciting news last week was the addition of a new pop-up dining spot The Rebel Hangar: A Star Wars Lounge Experience.

Advance Dining Reservations are strongly recommended for this dining adventure.

In other news from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Frozen Summer Fun LIVE! event kicks off next month on June 17 and promises to give guests the coolest summer ever at the Studios.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom the new Harambe Market is set to open soon. This new area will feature food and merchandise spots including four walk-up windows. There will also be seating for about 200 so you can grab a bite to eat and find a shaded spot to enjoy it!

Over at Epcot as soon as the sneak preview ends for Tomorrowland a new sneak preview for Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out will start. The sneak peek will be at the Pavilion Theater and gives guests a chance to see a sequence from the film with special in-theater effects and an introduction from the filmmakers.

The Walt Disney World Resort has a slate of great merchandise events happening all month long and speaking of merchandise, the Disney Parks are launching the first-ever Disney Parks Pack Pin Trading Box! If you’re a pin collector you won’t want to miss these pins!
