This Week in Disney News: Tusker House Character Meal, New Disney Springs Restauarant, and Disney’s Christmas Parade
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and this year the Disney Parks are celebrating with the Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration on December 25!
This all-new holiday parade event will feature performance and parades from the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Park, and Aulani. You can catch this year’s holiday special at 10 a.m. ET on ABC on Christmas morning.
As the transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs continues we got word this week of another new restaurant coming to the area. STK Orlando will be located on The Landing along with Morimoto Asia and The Boathouse. All three restaurants will be open in 2015.
In other Disney food news there’s going to be a new character meal at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Tusker House – already a fan favorite for its breakfast and lunch character meals – will be the home of Donald’s Safari Dinner starting in March!
And since it’s the end of the holiday shopping season we have a few merchandise-related news items. First, there’s an all-new line of graphic retail MagicBands available at Walt Disney World. The collection includes a Sorcerer Mickey band, a Minnie Mouse-inspired band, and a Disney Princess band.
Disneyland recently announced its January merchandise events and there are a few special meet-and-greet events planned with popular artists. If you’re headed to the West Coast next month be sure to check them out!
And last but not least, a new line of Minnie Mouse inspired athletic wear is debuting in January at the Walt Disney World Resort Marathon. The “Minnie Run” collection by Champion features running gear that all Minnie fans will love. You can check it out at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo during the Marathon Weekend.
That’s all the news that’s fit to print this week. We would like to wish all of our fans a wonderful and Merry Christmas!
