Tim Burton’s ‘Frankenweenie’ Coming to IMAX 3D

9 March 2012 No Comment

Sources say the new stop-motion, black and white animated film from Tim Burton, Frankenweenie, will be presented in IMAX 3D.

An adaptation of Burton’s 1984 short, Frankenweenie takes its cue from the classic Frankenstein story, and centers on a boy who brings his dead dog back to life. However, the feature-length film will delve deeper into the story and showcase plenty of mischief and mayhem as the dog wreaks havoc on the town.

The official trailer for the film was released last week, and the movie will debut in IMAX 3D on the same day the regular version appears in theaters – October 5, 2012.
