As we brought to you yesterday, Natalie Morales, Al Roker, and Meredith Vieira of NBC’s “Today” Show competed in Disney’s Half Marathon yesterday morning. Here, the smiling trio are shown at the start of the race with some Disney friends.
All totaled, approximately 54,000 runners took place in the Disney Marathon events, which included various family races, a health expo, a 5k, a half marathon, and a full marathon. In addition, this year’s half marathon included a special tribute to our troops, for which more than 400 military personnel in Iraq ran the same race simultaneously in Iraq. The races were linked via satellite so that they could start at precisely the same time.
