‘Toy Story’ Television Specials Planned for 2013 and 2014

This week brought some exciting news for Toy Story fans, as it looks like we’ll be getting to see a lot more of our favorite band of toys in the near future. While no plans have been announced yet for another feature-length Toy Story sequel, the website Big Screen Animation recently revealed that some new TV specials featuring Woody, Buzz, and the gang will be released in the coming years.

According to a book industry catalogue from Disney Publishing, two brand-new TV specials featuring the Toy Story characters will be debuting in October 2013 and Spring 2014. While no specific details about these 22-minute specials are yet known, it is presumed that they will be airing on either ABC or the Disney Channel.

In addition, it looks like the Toy Story shorts that have been recently debuting with other Disney films will continue in the future as well. Following the success of the shorts Hawaiian Vacation and Small Fry, Pixar will be releasing three new Toy Story Toons, which are currently in development.

Stay tuned for more news on these exciting new Toy Story projects.
