Four Walt Disney World Resort teams and an individual cast member were recently recognized for their commitment to safety by the United Safety Council.

The teams and the cast member were awarded with a Safety Achievement award for their work over the past year.

The awards were for cast member engagement, safety walks, safety committees, and leadership involvement.

“At Walt Disney World Resort, safety is part of our DNA,” said Alicia Sweeney, Director of Safety Services at Walt Disney World Resort. “Our Cast Members play a vital role in upholding this tradition. It is an honor to be recognized for the efforts our teams put in year-round to ensure a safe and memorable experience for our guests and Cast Members.”

An individual cast member – Jennifer Johnson – was given the Safety Leadership Award for her work at the Magic Kingdom where she oversees safety for the park’s food and beverage locations.
