We’re just a few weeks away from the annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, which airs each year on Christmas morning. This year, among the parade’s performances will be the cast of Newsies on Broadway, who will take to Main Street U.S.A. in Walt Disney World to perform the show’s opening number, “Carrying the Banner.”
To give a taste of what to expect from the performance on Christmas morning, Disney released a new video that goes behind-the-scenes of the Newsies performance taping and the cast’s time in Walt Disney World. The video features Newsies choreographer Christopher Gattelli and cast members Ryan Steele, Jess LeProtto and Corey Cott. Check out the video below:
Joining the Newsies cast on this year’s parade will be performances by the Backstreet Boys, Lady Antebellum, Colbie Caillat, Brad Paisley, Ross Lynch, TobyMac, Phillip Phillips, and Yolanda Adams, with a special appearance by Olympic gymnast Gabrielle Douglas. The 2012 Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade will air on ABC on December 25 at 10:00 AM for viewers on Eastern Standard Time, and at 9:00 AM for Central, Mountain, and Pacific Standard Time.
