Vive la France! Disneyland Paris Turns 21

On April 12, Disneyland Paris celebrated its 21st birthday! As part of the fête d’anniversaire, the park introduced a new nighttime extravaganza, Disney Dreams! In the show, Peter Pan’s shadow weaves in and out among famous and popular moments in various Disney films, including Brave and The Lion King. And due to the popularity of the show, those still hoping to join in the festivities in Paris are in luck – the 21st birthday celebrations will continue until September 30, 2013.

Perhaps the most exciting news of all for Disneyland Paris guests, Disney Light’Ears hats will be available this summer. Light’Ears are similar to the “Glow with the Show” light-up Mickey ears that are already so popular at the Disneyland resort, and they will be synchronized to the Disney Dream! show.

If you can’t make it to Disneyland Paris this year, don’t worry – they have plenty of new fun in store for 2014, including a new family attraction based on Ratatouille!

Phillipe Gas, President and CEO of Euro Disney, commented on the upcoming attraction:

“By developing this new ‘Ratatouille’ attraction, we continue to ensure our guests can experience their favorite Disney stories in memorable ways that only Disney can provide. … The theme, which is very français, is a tribute to the capital and the unforgettable characters that make ‘Ratatouille’ the ideal choice for an attraction that fits perfectly at Disneyland Paris.”

Are you planning on being part of the celebration at Disneyland Paris this year? Or are you waiting until next year when the Ratatouille attraction debuts?
